Hey members
All of you might be wondering why the post is titled AT-10.Well I'm
aware that the fest was about a month back. Due to the busy schedule,
i was not able to post. But anyways, it’s better late than never.

This post is to thank each and everyone who bent their backs and put
in an uncountable number of hours of hard work to make the Quiz Fest @
AT-10 a huge success. If it weren’t for you people, this event would
never have been what it became in the end. At this point of time i
want to say that it was a great opportunity for me to work with all of
you.
I greatly appreciate the work done by the following 6 people:
Paresh Naik-6th Sem ISE, Siddhart C-6th Sem ISE, Anand M S-4th Sem
TCE, Varun Rao-4th Sem ME, Sriram G-4th Sem ECE and last but not the
least Suhas A-2nd Sem EEE.
If it wasn't for these 6 people who though a little differently from
the others, put in a lot of hard work despite the odds being against
us in a lot of areas, the event would not have been a success. My
heartfelt thanks to each one of you guys for the support I received
and what a wonderful bunch of people you were. One of my seniors
mentioned this to me-"Nothing comes close to the satisfaction you get
when you do something with a pure heart". It’s really nice to see that
you all did this with superb enthusiasm without expecting anything in
return. Wait and watch, this may lead to something in the future.

We had close to a total of 100 teams registering and 90 of them
turning up for the events.
A congratulatory note to all the winners and a ‘thank-you’ to all the
participating teams.
Sports Quiz
1st- Praveen Koushik & Nishanth (BMSCE), 2nd- VeeraRaghavan N (UVCE)
Entertainment Quiz
1st- Ashish Saligram & Amit R (RNSIT), 2nd- Varun Rajiv & Eashan
(NLSIU)
General Quiz
1st- Vineet & Sarath Jose (RVCE), 2nd- Nakul & Chaitanya (RVCE)

Special mention to the following students:
Sachin Gowda, Rohit Bhat, Jayadeep T.P, Rahul Vittal, Subramanya,
Adarsh, Lohith- all from 4th Sem ECE, Chandramouli, Janam- 4th Sem
TCE.
All of you deserve to be applauded. If it weren’t for you fellows, QQC
would have not been able to reach the position it is in today. It was
you guys who really re-ignited the quiz club.

Back to AT-10. It would be really unfair on my part to not mention the
AT core team without whose support, the quiz fest and the fest in
general would not have been a reality. The entire core-team worked
really hard and I guess the results showed what a huge success AT-10
was. At this point, I have to mention a few people who really
supported us. First and foremost Anvesh (Event coordinator); Shrish M
V (Design Head), Ankush (Cul-Sec), Rashika (Logistics Head) and
Prashanth (Technical Head).

We are all greatly thankful to Prof SVS for the encouragement and
support he showed to us.

This post will be incomplete if I do not mention Raveesh Mayya,
Pradeep Nayak, Karthik B S and other seniors for constant
encouragement we received.

The reason behind the success of quiz fest @ AT-10 is a lot of hard
work put in by all of you. This is essentially your success. Thank you
all. I really hope we get many more such opportunities in the years to
come.

Regards
Abhilash B R

PS: Please ignore my way of writing this post. It does read like a
blog post!!

Hey Guys,

First of all, I would like to thank Abhilash for his kind words.

Secondly, I would like to point out that he's being rather modest. The
Quiz Fest @ AT - 10
might not have been a great success without the hard work of everyone
he mentioned, but
it would not have happened at all, if it weren't for Abhilash.

There were so many issues to be dealt with before and during the
event. The schedule,
the prize money, the (non) listing on the website, the classrooms for
the actual event,
booking the auditorium for the finals, spot registrations, one of the
prelim papers going
AWOL, projector problems.. Oh, the list goes on!

All these issues were dealt with, efficiently and professionally by
Abhilash. He had to
juggle a million things at once and not once did he lose his cool.
(Well.... Maybe he did
a couple of times, but that's ok! Haha..)

So what I'm basically trying to say is,

Many Kudos to our Fearless Leader! We couldn't have done it without
him!

Cheers,
Varun B Rao.

Members,

I think Prof. S.V. Satish has conjured a brilliant idea. This would
certainly establish PESIT as a mammoth force in the quizzing realm, put
QQC on the map!

We might start off slow, but over probably the next few years, we can
gather enough momentum to make our quiz fest the premier quiz fest in
India, surpassing UTPT.

We already know where to improve, based on the work done for AT 10.
Also, we can look at where other quizzes have faltered and use that
knowledge to our advantage. Eg: How many of us have cribbed about utpt
not being properly organized. We'll have to make sure our fest is
properly coordinated and conducted.

Also, the research involved in setting up this event certainly help us
stumble upon new, interesting facts, fresh news and what not. Its just
gonna make us stronger quizzers.

This is an opportunity i know many of us have been waiting for, and
its ours to grasp. Lets ensure we do the same.

Regards,
Adarsh.

Respected Sir
We thank you for the sort of encouragement you have given us. The idea
of an exclusive quiz fest has been in the pipeline for over a
semester. Sir, this was exactly the push we required to plan things
out for the quiz fest.
By the end of this month, a brief plan can be worked out.

Regards
Abhilash B.R.
