Hi all;

Just got my RDK and the very basics seem to work; I can communicate with it under Linux (via /dev/usbtmc1), but on the same computer under Windows 8.1, QMRDK GUI 1.0.1 does not work.

I have TekVISA 4.00 installed under Windows 8.1 and it sees the RDK come and go when it's plugged in via USB/removed (and also under Linux no problems). The GUI asks me to choose Bluetooth or USB - I choose USB - and the GUI then is just a blank window with "not connected" in the lower left hand corner. Pushing sw1/etc doesn't change anything.

I guess this is a problem with Windows 8.1 specifically - does anyone else have it working?

I have also tried the Android app and it seems very unstable under Android 4.4 - I have got it to associate and run Doppler once, but never again since then - it will say it's connected but the app doesn't do anything.

Ah - Windows. :-)

Thanks,

RDK Support

Hi Josh,

The RDK GUI has not been tested on a Windows 8.1 machine (it's on the TODO list).  However, the problem may be the VISA driver you are using.  We have had known issues with TekVISA in the past and recommend either Agilent or NI's VISA driver.

Sorry to hear that the App is not working well under Android 4.4.  Unfortunately, further App development is not currently scheduled.

Good luck!
