lkpdesigns instructions are a bit decieving. Make sure you only load the sub folder lkpdesigns_kcdk to the community. Do not load the main folder when unzipped kcdk_lkpdesigns to the community, it won't work....
Trying to install new airplanes, etc. I found it here. Says extract to community folder but an explorer search shows like 20 folders starting with the word community all under the Microsoft flight simulator sub folder. Using the PC but I have lots of Xbox...
What do I do wrong to add an airplane to the community folder but it is not visible?I have done everything that you can find to do the right procedure.Must I reinstall the flight sim? (10 CD's)I hope someone can help to solve my problem....
I am having a lot of problems getting add-ons to work. First, there is no readme text file in the Zion scenery as you state (view the README file contained within the download). Second, some of your aircraft/scenery instruction says to create a co...
I've downloaded the mods, extracted them into the community folder, but the aircraft/scenery aren't showing up in my game. I re-read the instructions, and tried drilling down into the download folders to try and find which one I'm supposed to move into ...
Microsoft Flight Simulator has taken off with an ambitious spin on virtual aviation, serving up a global playground backed by satellite imagery and artificial intelligence. Microsoft's cloud power enables players to travel anywhere planetwide, with insane attention to detail, and deep simulation mechanics.
The authenticity proposed by Microsoft Flight Simulator is like few others, with highly-accurate aircraft inside and out, across up to 30 variants available. The game also supports custom liveries, with third-party content creators already wrapping planes in new graphics, reflecting those in the real world. And whether a new look for light sport aircraft or representing the world's top airlines, custom liveries add unique styling to any flight.
Microsoft Flight Simulator liveries bring a new look to any aircraft, shaking up the appearance with a fresh coat of paint. That adds a unique identity to the initially 30-large aircraft lineup, whether a cosmetic refresh or roleplaying the world's top aeronautical giants. And while Microsoft Flight Simulator features just one default livery at launch, it allows players to install new designs for its aircraft.
The Flight Marketplace is the one-stop-shop in Microsoft Flight Simulator, akin to the app store on your smartphone. The provides a streamlined and accessible avenue to purchase or download content from Microsoft and partnered third-party developers. The initial launch offering offers one-click access to a handful of items, including mods and add-ons.
However, the game also supports external mods, allowing players to tinker with game files, and install more content from its community of players. Microsoft Flight Simulator liveries can be installed from either outlet, and it's down to finding the content you want. The integrated Flight Marketplace is easy to use, but it doesn't feature much right now compared to growing third-party offerings.
Microsoft Flight Simulator provides easy access to installed liveries, with a streamlined interface to preview and change your preferred design before taking flight. Your paint jobs can be found both through the Hangar and free-flight Worldmap when selecting aircraft.
The integrated Hanger provides the best opportunity to sort through liveries, with a real-time preview while switching between designs. From the Hangar menu, pressing F11 provides a window to choose aircraft, while F12 displays a list of current liveries.
The free-flight setup menu also provides an opportunity to switch out your liveries before departure. Choices are presented when choosing aircraft, alongside your weight, balance, failures, and other configurations.
Microsoft Flight Simulator's integrated Flight Marketplace is designed to make mods and add-ons easier than ever. It provides an in-game store designed for Microsoft and its partners to sell creations, with payment processing handled safely and securely. But it's relatively barebones as of launch, with only a small sample of partners making the August release.
Microsoft Flight Simulator has seen one batch of liveries dominate the conversation, which provides all you need to get started. "Clink's Megapack" features dozens of designs in one easy-to-install package, while providing headroom for more liveries over time. Here's what you need to know about using liveries in Microsoft Flight Simulator, as they exist right now.
Aerosoft Tool Simple Traffic has only one goal: To replace the default fictional liveries of the simulator with existing liveries. So, you see a lot of Delta aircraft at Atlanta, KLM at Schiphol, and Air France around Paris.
It is a DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator featuring real-world airline liveries and offline traffic routes and schedules. In Online AI mode, real-world liveries are selected according to the live traffic data feed within the sim. In Offline AI mode, liveries are selected according to the offline traffic routes and schedules included with Simple Traffic.
Simple Traffic includes liveries for over 175 real-world airlines, and new airline liveries are being added all the time. Offline AI traffic routes and schedules are derived from over 30 million records of real-world ADS-B flight data enabling pre-Covid airline traffic levels globally within the sim.
While primarily a stand-alone product it will also work equally well alongside other AI DLC or megapacks, acting as a generic fallback for the airline livery and model combinations those add-ons do not contain.
Installation runs via Aerosoft One, this requires an internet connection and an Aerosoft user account!
More information about Aerosoft One can be found in the User Guide or in the FAQs.
One thing that many simmers have been really looking forward to is adding liveries to their brand new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Whilst the default Airbus and Boeing liveries look great, having paint work that represents your favourite airline is something we know experienced simmers and newcomers want to have in their simulator.
Some talented people have already found ways to make some nice looking A320neo paints. They include Delta Airlines, Spirit, Air Canada and more. They start to make the simulator feel more realistic and lifelike as you can now start to simulate flights from these particular airlines and get some great screenshots from them.
The first step is to download the liveries already created. Whilst there will be plenty more to choose from, the initial ones we found are hosted on Mega. This link currently works and includes the following airlines:
We now have what we consider to be a solid build of FS Traffic, with all core features functional both in the simulator and in the external Traffic Control Centre app. We supplied a new build to our testing teams at the end of last week and we will be monitoring and acting on their feedback in the coming week or so. The main tasks going forward are predominantly fixing whatever bugs are raised as well as adding any final features that we feel will enhance the product further.
All aircraft models and liveries from our initial specifications are now complete and further liveries are being added to the product as we endeavour to fill in as many gaps as we can. A small selection of screenshots showing some of the latest liveries are included here.
The team have also been investigating the effects that Sim Update 11 has had on the AI Traffic in MSFS. During testing we have noticed a sizeable number of improvements with the AI behaviour with this Sim Update, including improved taxi and take-off behaviour, however, there are also some areas where we have noticed new issues regarding AI capability in the sim. We are now investigating these areas and are working to try and overcome them. In the meantime, these issues have been reported to Asobo/Microsoft and we are hopeful further refinements to the AI traffic can be made in future MSFS updates.
Some of the new features include custom animations (flaps, reversers, etc) and custom effects (contrails, engine heat blur, exterior lighting, touchdown smoke, etc). The exterior lighting in particular has been customised so that colour, intensity, and location is accurate for each aircraft type.
We are also working hard on making FS Traffic as simple as possible to use. There are no complicated set ups required to see traffic. If you have FS Traffic installed and you load a flight in MSFS, you will see traffic. Simple as that.
Last week saw an important milestone in the life of FS Traffic as we released the first beta build to our testing team. Other important changes made recently include the implementation of a new in-sim menu system designed to give you some control over your traffic options in real-time, and further improvements to the traffic generated at your arrival destination. We've also received flight plan data covering late June 2022 and we are busy integrating this into the program.
In the past few months we have had a team of artists helping paint our traffic fleet. To ensure global coverage we tasked them with creating over 700 liveries covering many different airlines. With 70% of the liveries now complete, the work is shifting from the twin engine narrow bodies to the widebodies and regional airliners. Alongside this we have also been setting up the external lighting and the interactive points which allow the ground services and jet bridges to connect to the AI aircraft
