I installed the latest available Quid Libet via Flatpak under an up-to-date Debian Trixie version 13.3.  Playback under the app is workinmg as expected; however, I am seeing the following output from the shell during execution:

29-01-20206_quodlibet.png

I am referring to all the errors shown above.  These files are all valid, playable, and open without issue.  What is common with them all is they all contain non-English UTF-8 characters in their file names.  Is this a known issue?  Are there any work-around to support these files without renaming them all?  These are the names that the original artists named their music.  I would prefer not to change the file names if possible.

Thank you.

The text in my screenshot is a bit small to see.  Here is all text copy + pasted:

Okay -- I see what is happening now.  This looks like a bug.  For one file showing an error '/mnt/sftp/Gordon Goodwin/2023, Act Your Age/05-Señor Mouse.flac'  actually does exist in my music library.  The issue is it also exists in an m3u8 (UTF-8 unicode) playlist that I imported.  Quod Libet is not handling Unicode m3u8 playlists properly it seems, and the import is not working correctly.  It is probably treating the m3u8 file like an ASCII m3u file instead.  This is why it is failing to import the playlist.

Here is the file within the m3u8 playlist.  It's on line 3369 in the attachment.

I worked around this issue.  Import Playlist has the issue.  This could be a broken plugin (unsure).

I simply selected the existing file existing in my library and manually added it to the Jazz playlist.  I will repeat this for all files showing errors in the console.
