How to display a song's key (musical key) in the Song List/Browser for mp3 files?

To view a song's key in the Song List/Browser I set initalkey as a custom column header. Since that setting applies to the metadata of vorbiscomments I am only able to view key information for my FLAC files. Is this a limitation of QuodLibet or is there another method to display a song's key information irrespective of the metadata container or simply just for MP3 files.
