I received a message back in January 2021 saying that I needed to "reconfirm now to renew your educational access for an additional year." I did immediately and it said I was approved. I am also still eligible for Autodesk products.
However, I started to receive a pop up messages saying "Your access to Autodesk for Education has expired. If you're still eligible, you can restart access..." whenever I launched my programs. I am still a student, I haven't had this issue until now. Whenever I try to reconfirm, it gives me a message saying I can access products until January 2021... so why am i not able to download a newer version of Revit?
I went to "My products" on my autodesk account and the Revit software that was shown was 2019, the very first program I installed. I reinstalled 2019 and inputted the serial number that was in the information box. (I am unable to see my 2020 Revit serial number) Once it redownloaded - I was able to access 2019 Revit.
If your license doesn't appear in your account then you don't have a license. So if after requesting the license doesn't appear in your account then it's likely a sync error that education support can fix:
To answer your question, I was able to download 2022 Revit. However, once download is completely synced up and I try to launch the program - I am faced with the error message I mentioned earlier regarding my eligibility. When I click "renew/restart eligibility" it takes me to the Autodesk website, where it leads me to sign in. Once signed in, it says "Welcome Raquel! You have access to products until January 31st, 2022." However, when I try to relaunch Revit 2022 - the same error persists. Unless I am wrong, but is this banner confirming my access to Autodesk products, the same as my access to license?
The Sync Error I am referring to is a possibility of the request for the license not to go through and so you don't end up with a license, hence the sync error - this is not really visible to the end-user besides the fact you don't have a license.
I've checked your account and reached out to our Education Team. When your licenses have expired, please visit the Education Product page, which will update your account. You should then be able to download the software, which will assign an updated license to your account.
but why do I have to wait until it expires? That makes ZERO sense. Your software constantly nags me to renew and every time I "renew" it does nothing. So, instead of proactively renewing it ahead of time so I can ensure I have access. So, you're telling me I have to wait until it expires....
Unfortunately I do not have any answers except that the Education Licensing system is build off the same platform as our other licenses. I will forward your comments to our Education team for their consideration.
I went through the 3 steps and downloading Fusion360 with my education license being appproved. After downloading the software and using it for a couple of hours, I noticed a subscribe now button in the top right which doesn't make sense since I already got approved. After clicking on it, it tells me to sign up for an educational license, which I already have, and after signing into my account it says that my registration is being processed! This makes no sense whatsoever as the entire reason I was able to download Fusion360 was because my license was approved! This is extremely frustrating as I went through a 24 hour verification process only to end up with a trial license. I would appreciate any help that I can get.
I received an email that said "We resolved a licensing issue that was preventing the download of your 1-year student license. You can now download your product by clicking this link." Excited, because the email seems to be answering my problem exactly, I clicked on the link, but to my disappointment, it takes me to
autodesk.com. This leads me nowhere and even after exploring around for some kind of activation, it's nothing but the autodesk website.
No luck with it yet on the next day, still getting the exact same message and it is not showing on
manage.autodesk.com. I can see it on the trials page as a 73 day trial. I emailed education support through the link you sent me, so now I guess it's just time to wait. Thanks for replying.
Still nothing but basic troubleshooting steps from the education support team. I have seen other people just send their email adress to the right education support specialist and have it fixed in minutes vs how I just keep getting told to restart and wait. Frustrating.
In regards to Aakash's issue, the issue was known to be licensing as their educational license had not appeared on their account and was still showing the subscribe. The issue with your Maya looks to be more installation-based since you can't even launch the product, you'd better creating a new thread so it's easier to follow and keep up with now that this thread is solved.
I uninstalled Fusion360, created a new account, as you can see, and redid the steps and waited a day or two, checked verification and it magically worked. That's what I suggest for anyone, just delete and go through the process again with a different account.
I am having an issue trying to use Eagle student version. I have gone through the student verification process in the past, but I accidentally let it expire about a month ago. Last night, I went through the steps to get it renewed and it was much quicker. It shows in my account and when I go to the educational access page it asks me to sign in and verify that I have access. It then takes me to a website that has a banner saying that I have student access until a year from now, and gives me the catalog of educational software to download.
That is great but then when I go to use Eagle or Fusion360 I cannot use the educational priveleges. I have tried logging in and out of the apps, reinstalling them and nothing is working. Any advice? Is there a few days that it may take to go through for education access? I would think the same thing, but there is a banner in the products section that states that I have access. Maybe it will take longer to get to the app, does anyone know how long this may be or what may be going on here?
I am having the same issue. Every time I open Inventor or rivet it tells me I'm (un able to activate licence) but I've had the conformation email to say I'm eligible and can downloads all the programs fine.
But the issue is, that somehow it seems these licenses do not work for me, I tried to download the Fusion 360, but it always shows that my subscription has expired, I tried to reinstall it, but that did not help. Even when I open Online Fusion 360 it shows that my subscription has expired. I tried to activate AutoCAD as well, I got a license but even that did not work.
This is something I also had a lot of trouble with last year, with absolutely no warning, fusion 360 said my subscription had expired (I did not receive an email to help me renew it at any point in time). I clicked "educational access" but the website was broken so I came back today and when I tried to sign in and confirm eligibility, it said:
there was no sign of the renew now button the instructions I found said to select. I went through those steps a few times, tried refreshing the page, checked my email for more info (again, I have never received an email from Autodesk about renewing my educational license in my 5 years of using fusion), etc. help would be very much appreciated.
I cannot comprehend the justification for such a convoluted and broken way of renewing your license especially since it now has to be done every year. if anyone from Autodesk sees this, please get your act together.
I don't know if it's the answer to your problem, but a couple of weeks ago Fusion showed me the same error, which was solved by downloading the most recent version. For some reason the last update was not downloaded and it showed that error
How do I just reach out to educational support? when I click the link you sent, most of the stuff there just sends me back to this site, I've just been looking for someone to reach out to for the past week, and I'm very concerned that I won't be able to find an email address before all of my files are deleted.
I found that site a few days ago and emailed them, I explained the whole situation and they said there was not currently a verification request from my email, so i responded, explaining the whole situation again, and am yet to hear back, this was on Tuesday and Wednesday
alright so update, I contacted customer support but I think the people it went to are the people who approve the verification requests themselves, so I don't think they can help me send a verification request
