The Webex Players Series is all about providing opportunities to our future stars of the game and to have both Minjee and Min Woo host this special event, share their knowledge on how they got to this point is invaluable and something that will no doubt assist our young players follow their footsteps.

Video production and broadcasting software lets content creators produce live streams and then send a video feed out to viewers. Many providers like YouTube and Twitch include a player where viewers can watch the broadcast, while others don't. That's where the Webex Events RTMP Player comes in.

The Webex Events RTMP Player provides a Stream Key and RTMP URL for each live stream. These tell your broadcast software where to send the video feed. Once you've entered the Key and URL into the broadcasting software, the Webex Events RTMP player maintains a constant connection. When you start the live stream in your broadcasting software, attendees can watch it in a Webex Events Live Stream feature or Session.

Stream your content to your Webex Event from nearly any platform that supports RTMP. Local streaming software like Wirecast and vMix, online streaming services like Twitch and YouTube, or even meeting software like Webex are all possibilities!

  • We recommend you choose Record in cloud when you start recording. Cloud recordings are the MP4 format for Webex Meetings, Events, and Personal Rooms.
  • Any Webex host can record a meeting, and only the host will have access to the recording by default. Please login to -c.webex.com, and view your recorded meetings in Recordings.
  • After deleting a recording, your storage quota will not update until a recording has been deleted for 30 days, or after you go to Deleted and delete again.ITS reserves the right to remove recordings older than six months.
  • Recordings downloaded from Meeting Center, Events, and Personal Rooms are now all in MP4 format. VLC player may not play all of the video in some cases; please try Windows Media Player or another that plays MP4.
  • MP4 recordings may not contain participant lists or chat logs; please view or share the video directly from Webex to see these in the recording.
  • If you upload your Webex MP4 recordings to Mediasite and the video does not continue after a few seconds, please rename the .mp4 to .m2ts and upload again.
  • After stopping a recording, it may be 15 minutes before a recorded meeting is visible for playback.
  • If you need to keep a recording for more than a few weeks, please save your recording to a local or network drive. The Webex Network Recording Player is required for playing and converting recordings if they download in the ARF format, and can be downloaded Webex for personal computers, and found in Software Center, under Tri-C Resources on employee computers if it is not already installed.
  • You can convert recordings to other formats in the Network Recording Player through File -> Convert Format. If you are prompted to enter credentials when choosing to convert on personal computers, please visit this link for a small download that removes this popup.

We strongly recommend against using computer speakers with audio in Webex meetings. The sound from the speakers is picked up by your micrphone, and causes an audio loop, which can often result in a very loud sound that all participants can hear. Please check out our hardware recommendations on the Webex for Faculty and Staff main page!

  • Most Webex meetings will be with computer or mobile device audio only, also known as Voice-Over-IP, or VoIP. Dial-in numbers are a special feature sometimes granted on request. In addition to using a USB headset or webcam for Voice-Over-IP at your computer, almost all smart phones and tablets can also be used to connect with all Webex meetings with VoIP natively.
  • If you need to create a meeting with a dial-in number, please ask if your department already has a scheduler with this capability. If you need to have this option for meetings you schedule, please email we...@tri-c.edu and specify the reason for using dial-in number.

Meetings are where ideas are exchanged, where collaboration happens, and where decisions are made. Recording and sharing internal meetings maximizes the value your organization gets from every minute employees spend in meetings.

Meetings are dynamic, collaborative events that often include multiple people talking while sharing screens, slides, and documents all from various locations. Meeting assistants designed to take notes and provide summaries quite simply miss an abundance of information that could prove to be valuable later.

Closed captioning workflows within Panopto allow for the seamless addition of machine- or human-generated captions. Automatic machine-generated captions can be instantly inserted and edited on the fly within any individual recording. Administrators can also enable closed captioning at scale by configuring permission-based ordering from top global human captioning service providers right inside Panopto.

My company is in the habit of adopting Windows-centric solutions. The latest is Webex for hosting and recording meetings. Webex records the meeting and makes the file available for download in the form of their proprietary ARF format. Predictably, their own player supports converting to MP4 only in the Windows version of the player, and not in the Mac version of the player. So the question I have for this community is:

The software will install, but (IMO) it doesn't create an application link in Finder or in Launch Pad. I personally don't have any WebEx recordings I can use to test, but you can launch the player manually. It's located in the user's library folder under:

Prior to 2017, NCASI utilized WebEx for its webinars. WebEx recordings are in a proprietary file format that requires downloading and installing a WebEx Player. (In 2017, NCASI switched to Zoom for hosting online meetings and webinars. Recordings of Zoom webinars are provided in the non-proprietary MP4 file format, which is handled in a variety of video players.)

The Club gave me a platform to show myself, to show the type of player I was. With the youth teams, there were so many people watching, and we were always competing for the Championship, so you had scouts from all over watching because each youth team was so good.
