It seems that 2 out of 3 times I’m changing a tiddler ( or anything, like adding images) the whole app crashes.

The crash manifests in such a way that I’m thrown out of the wiki, into iCloud. There everything is frozen until I force quit.

I used an IPhone 8 before with the same issue, and now on 13 mini.

The wiki file is about 25 mb in size, and is unworkable because of these constant crashes.

Thank you for your help in figuring this out,

Hi - This sounds as if you are hitting a memory limit for the devices. I'm guessing you have autosave "on" in TiddlyWiki and that the crash takes place when the save takes place?

Please let me know if I am correct.

Conventional saving takes up a lot of memory - at least double the size of your wiki - and that can mean that you hit an internal memory limit. When this happens the iOS internals for running webpages like TiddlyWiki don't play well and tend to just stop dead - as you describe. There's a choice of wiki saving mechanism in Quine - one optimized for speed, the other optimized for memory.

In the iOS Settings App, please try changing the "TiddlyWiki5 save method" to "Big Wiki Saver"; reopen your wiki and try saving again.

Please let me know if this helps.

Cheers - Chris.

Hi,

That did the trick, turning that switch in the settings tab solved the problem.
Now I can continue working without failures.

Thank you for your prompt reply, and your great app!
