All,

Another build on the way - v2.2.17...if all goes well I'll wrap it up in the next couple of days.

There are two major changes in the upcoming version:

1. Addition of a choice of Home Screen App Icon. It's a response to a request by a user. In v2.2.17 you will be able to long press the Quine App icon on on your devices Home Screen and select "Change App Icon". You'll be presented with a dialog in Quine which allows you to choose between the original Quine icon, and the current/default Quine icon. Fun, and for me interesting to explore the possibility of adding long-press App actions from the Home Screen.

2. Dialed back the sensitivity to memory constraints that was introduced in v2.2.16. I decided it was TOO responsive to constrained conditions. But also added some dialog around wiki session termination by iOS - to allow you to Close or Reload you wiki session if and when iOS terminates one of your wiki sessions to free memory for other Apps.

It's not unusual for iOS to terminate web processes, such as those used in Quine, when the owning App is off-screen. It only happens when resources are low. Termination frees resources for the App on-screen. How to respond is a well known iOS UI programming challenge. More precisely, the challenge is in deciding how to inform the user (if at all) and how to recover. The approach introduced in the upcoming v2.2.17 - where I provide a warning and choices -  is hopefully better than just closing the session, or just reloading it for you. Of course, I'm happy to hear feedback and explore alternatives.

Cheers - Chris.
