Whew.
I was checking if there was one vehicle we can all use, instead of multiple. So I'm guessing that's a no? ;-) Can a FB post trigger an email to a non-FB user?
Looking for a solution, folks.

Just speaking for myself, it's my responsibility to control how much of my life I spend in front of a screen. And I don't believe it actually matters in what format--it's all communication, it's all arguably using companies that involve questionable end-games for society... The question at hand is which is the easiest for the greatest number here and now; and what constructive work-arounds can we come up with to be inclusive? If there is a longer-range goal of choosing something that is benevolent, well...
Back in the 90's I used to rail against MightySoft for blatantly using unfair practices to knock out competition. You may say that is so last century, but now it's same game, different players. (Except that our social fabric is morphing at a faster pace).
I'm thinking Google, as much as I love the ass-kicking they are giving MS, are becoming the next MS...But even more insidious:
a) because we are building our lives around it, perhaps without being aware of how deeply we are weaving them into our daily practices; and
b) I'm not convinced Google's agenda has my privacy, welfare, and freedom in mind.
So I think FB and Google have an equal potential for evil. But it's still up to me to keep it in balance, and as much as I can, control how I use them as tools for my convenience. It's always my choice to forego convenience and learn other tools, and/or to make sure how I leverage them works the best for me, whatever the criteria for "best" is.
There's my ten cents. Sorry to ramble.
