Idon't see why it would be so hard. Sampletank was ported over. Imagine all they'd have to do is code a "kontakt" version for apple silicon natively, and then it could use the same exact sample libraries people already purchased. I think alot of people would buy it just to use their sample libraries from desktop on there too.
