To test the compiled file, you can use the latest nightly builds of FileZilla 3. Create a directory with the language code of your translation in the locales directory of FileZilla 3 and put the compiled file with the name filezilla.mo into it.

All the filezilla help pages are very shallow, with many lists of options but rarely any explanation of them, so an inexperienced user is none the wiser as to what the choices do or what the terminology means.

I upload and download files from my desktop to a server for work using filezilla. I am wondering if the server can see the files on my desktop when I upload? I don't just mean the files I upload from my desktop which it can obviously see, but also the files on my desktop that I choose not to upload e.g. word documents.

While I am outside my network, I will connect to wireguard (On my phone or laptop) I can access all my network shares and web browsing just fine, but I can't connect to my FTP. Well that's not entirely true, I can connect but it won't populate the folder list. If I disconnect from wireguard, all works perfectly... My only problem is with filezilla trying to establish a connection to my device while running wireguard.

I don't have an issue connecting to wireguard. Wireguard is causing me to not be able to see the folder structure of my FTP server. I'm using Filezilla server 1.7.0 I know I should probably be posting over there.. But I feel like my issue was with wireguard and not filezilla itself.

Hi,Previously when we put the system on hibernate and reuse next day, the filezilla normaly keeps entertaining the edited files and we could keep using the connected servers. But after upgrading to last few latest versions, filezilla no more entertains the opened files, like normally if I edit and save the file on editor, the filezilla instantly asks if I want to replace the file on server, but now it abandons the last days edited files. Moreover, if I retry to edit any file from the previous day connected server, It does nothing and to make it work, I have to shutdown and reopen a new component of filezilla. I am not sure if its a bug or a new feature added. Please confirm.

The attached screenshot shows 3 files that failed transfer from server to Windows directory due to the illegal Windows character colon (:) present in the 3 files. The first transfer initiated using the filezilla preference of Automatic for FTP File Types resulted in the 3 files failing.

Note: When I initially tried to download multiple directories that contained illegal characters, filezilla basically crashed (no further input or output from filezilla window). Filezilla needed to be closed completely and restarted in order to resume normal operations.

When filezilla is open I can hit F3(mission control) and it clear shows that there are 2 separate spaces open: Desktop and Filezilla. The app is unusable right now for drag/drop operations from other apps.

Connecting and browsing with the new key works fine but when you go to upload files, you get a key error as filezilla starts using the old key if it still exists (resulting in "Server refused our key" error) or if the old key no longer exists on disk: "Skipping non-existing key file" as filezilla attempts to use the old key.

To work around this you need to delete the connection in the connection manager and re-create from scratch using the new key. If the connection keeps re-appearing you may have to try multiple times (some users reported to me it took 3 tries to get the old connection to delete and the new one to work restarting filezilla between each).

Hi, i noticed that on my Filezilla FTP that its showing the same file with different sizes, if you could explain why that is happening and how i can prevent that because it taking up space in the server. As on the wordpress backend, in media folder i do not see these and i only use wordpress uploader to upload it, neither have i uploaded them with different sizes. For example i have a pdf that i have upload on wordpress, in filezilla its stripping the images separately and creating a imaged of it with various different sizes. please see the attached screenshot. Also, the amount of media files do not match on wordpress and FileZilla because FileZilla is producing images with different sizes. Please let me know how i can prevent that from happening and how can i go about clearing these files from filezilla.
