What Is Nero Backitup 12 Essentials

Afew days ago my computer started freezing up on me; I could get online but changing websites would take 5-15 minutes. I have NOD32 antivirus as well as ad-aware and microsoft security essentials. After running all three programs; NOD32 showed nothing; ad-aware picked up a few malware problems; mse picked up a serious Win32 virus that it quarantined. All this time, my utorrent was open, as I am constantly downloading/seeding programs. when I tried to surf, again slow speeds. running the antivirus programs again, I got the same virus. Only when I close utorrent can I surf at normal speeds. When I open utorrent not only do I get the virus again, my downloads are extremely slow. What can I do? I clearly picked up a virus from one of my downloads but how can I use utorrent again? thanks for reading

NOt sure of anything at this point. I have eliminated all torrents and closed utorrent, so I suspect that is not the case. Looking through my downloads, there is an exe file that was downloaded 3 times in succession, while I was not using the puter(my kids maybe?). when i googled the filename, it came up as a severe virus that sneaks in under the radar. Microsoft security essentials seems to have removed the virus from slowing my surfing but I am having other problems; my main user id seems to disappear at times and I have to use alternate ids. My inquiry here is mainly to determine what I have to do to use utorrent again without shutting down my other capabilities. Should I uninstall utorrent and try to reinstall it?

It's usually a very bad idea to use more then one anti-virus. If you have any software torrents they deserve scrutiny, and you may want to research whatever virus is being detected for removal help or find a professional.

You have other stuff on your system to worry about before you deal with uTorrent. You have malware on your system that probably conned you into installing it because it claimed to be security software.
