Objects in a Word document

Hi. I'm a computer user, not a code kind of guy.

I am trying to unzip one of these manuals:
http://www.lightspeedengineering.com/Manuals/Ignition.htm

When I unzipped it, all of the photos were separated out, separating
each from the document itself. Is there any way to unzip the intact
document, without having to manually insert each photo back into the
Word document?

No, you have to insert the photos back to the document manually.
Zip is file based, e.g. photo and word document belongs to different
file in the zip.
