DJI on Windows 7

Hi Uday,

 

Thanks for the great stock watch gadget.

Like many others I am getting "Loading.." for ^DJI but the chart pops up OK.

I am using Netvibes.

YOU SAID:

1) When you see something not right, please confirm if it is a real issue (happening always) or just a one-off thing (usually gets fixed "automatically" after a couple of tries). Why do I say this? The data is pulled from Yahoo servers, so it is possible that the servers sometimes don't respond. The job of this gadget is to request stock data from Yahoo Finance servers on your behalf. If it does not get the data, unfortunately there is nothing the gadget can do :(

Always happens no matter how long I wait.

I've removed and reinstalled the gadget but that did not help.

2) If you see the issue happening even after a few tries (try at least for a few hours), then please report it with the browser name and version you are using. It would also help if you list the Operating System and version you saw the issue on.

On your IE9, Can you please check the following for me : 

Tools => Internet Options => Privacy tab => "Advanced" button. Is the Third-Party cookies enabled or blocked? If blocked, please try enabling and try again.

3rd party cookies are enabled.

I usually use Chrome on Mac for development. I don't have the configuration to test every feature on every browser but I am more than willing to fix any problems you report. Please note that this is my hobby project and I do have a full-time job, so I fix browser-specific issues only when reported, otherwise I wont even know that you are facing a problem.

Unfortunately, You are using the wrong version of the gadget :-)

Please use the instructions on the following page to add the latest version to Netvibes. I no longer support the version that you are using.

Well, that was the solution!

I had installed the older version by searching in the Netvibes "Add" pulldown, so you may want to contact them to replace it with the new version.

Perhaps this is the same problem posted by so many others?
