I've got stock watch in for a couple of UK companies and the FTSE, they load fine on FF but nothing on IE just "Temporary fix has been put in place for Internet Explorer users. Permanent fix coming soon." but no stocks. Not sure if this is known given the message?

Hi Steve,

On your IE10 browser, Can you please check the following for me :

Tools(Gear Icon) => Internet Options => Privacy tab => "Advanced" button. Is the Third-Party cookies enabled or blocked? If blocked, please try enabling and try again.

Thanks
-Uday

I cant think of any.. My stocks come up fine in IE10.

I cant debug/fix until I see the issue myself physically, which I am not able to. it works fine here :(

Let me think about how to help you..

Uday

Reading the various threads, you fixed an issue where some people could not get ^DJI to display. Following that fix, the rest of us who were getting nothing, can now get ^DJI, at least in full screen mode. What did you do to fix ^DJI and can that fix be globally applied?

I just noticed that in your screenshot where you enable third-party cookies, there is a little checkbox that says "override automatic cookie handling". You need to check that. Only then your preferences will be used.

I am sure that will solve your problem.

Thanks

It didn't!.... I'm now on IE11 and we've moved on slightly. Now the gadget always loads Facebook and Google but when I full screen it I get my selections... really annoying as it's a great gadget but no use as it stands

You say you only see 2 stocks on the gadget in minimized version. Did you try adding stocks (while you are in the minimized version itself)? Since you are seeing content when you maximize but not when you minimize, the problem is still with 3rd party cookies. I do not know how to debug your problem without knowing .

Also can you send me the screen captures on the cookie settings - the one you sent me on your IE10?

Sorry, it changed again once I deleted facebook and google... now it wont add anything in full screen or small versions... I am right I lookup the symbol, hit add and then save changes aren't I?

I should also say that I still see "Temporary fix has been put in place for Internet Explorer users. Permanent fix coming soon." in the gadget, do I have an old version or something... working fine in FF

Well - I'd prefer you use Chrome, Firefox or Safari as IE has variable support across versions and is not standards-compliant like the other browsers..

With no updates to the app, the behavior on your browser changes every few days - which I don't understand. I can fix things if I can reproduce them on my setup, otherwise, I am shooting in the dark. I loaded the gadget on my friends laptop yesterday who has IE11 and with the cookie settings I mentioned earlier in this thread(enabling third party cookies), I was able to see the gadget functioning properly.

No problem, I'm a developer myself and hate IE, I'm just forced to use it because others do. I'll wait for the next IE update and try again. Thanks for your efforts.
