You may or may not have noticed that I’ve added all of the additional
code that runs the website to the qsapp.com repo. Hopefully, this will
encourage more contributions.

I’ve updated the ignore list so it omits the MySQL credentials, and
I’ve moved the Google analytics stuff to an ignored file, too. (I
wasn’t sure if that needed to be private.)

If I’ve made a huge mistake, let me know ASAP. :-)

Otherwise, I’ll get on the server soon and get it in sync with the
repo.

Thanks.

I think you’re right in doing this. My previous concern was about security, but let’s hope that opensourcing it will mean more eyes on it so better security…!
Perhaps some other people lurking in this group who have HTML/PHP/Web experiences can pour their eyes over the new code added?

I also see you found the ‘/press’ folder which I think I accidentally deleted at some point. Great, thanks for re-adding that :)

Agreed.

I should mention that I skimmed every single file (except third party
libraries) for anything that looked like it shouldn’t be shared and
searched the entire project for passwords to make sure they weren’t
hiding anywhere.

I had a local copy of everything from the old server, but was housing it
under the current repo, so it always showed a billion untracked files.
Now, it’s nice and clean. (I also deleted all the `bak` files that
were everywhere so they wouldn’t be included in the repo.)

I’ve pulled the changes down to the server.
