Hi everyone,

I am currently in an EMBO course in South Africa where I have had the chance to see a nice talk from Peter Drent on the new Nikon N-STORM system for super-resolution. The system features a c-mount with an astigmatism lens pre-assembled (you can slide it in and out) - check the scheme from the here: http://www.nikoninstruments.com/Products/Microscope-Systems/Inverted-Microscopes/Biological/N-STORM-Super-Resolution/(specifications) -  it may be that this lens has a higher transmission than the one I have mentioned before from Melles Griot and allow a higher resolution for 3D imaging. From my understanding, although it was shown on a Nikon TI it should also be compatible with microscope bodies from other companies.

Cheers,
Ricardo
