budget year. Our offerings equal 16% of our anticipated
offering income for the year.

4) CAROLYN NEWBERRY
Our sincere condolences to the family of Carolyn Newberry
who died last week. A Celebration of Life Service will
be held at 2 p.m., this Friday, March 9th, at New Life

7) A VIEW FROM THE CHAIR
(This comes to us from Anthony Salafia, church chair)
This Sunday we will have our annual meeting following the
worship service. We will be voting on 5 council positions,
welcoming new members, and we will have some important
announcements. I’m requesting the presence and input of
all members.
Our pastoral search committee has been working diligently
on our church profile. This is what has prompted the
recent surveys that we have been conducting. Please take
the time to fill out the information and read the
Searchlight Newsletter for updates on the pastoral search
process. I want to thank the committee for working through
perhaps the most tedious part of the process.
Just a reminder, we do “spring forward” this Sunday.
Remember to set your clocks ahead Saturday night. I look
forward to seeing you all at church.

~ Membership Class -- Saturday, March 10th, at Walt &
Carrie de Bruyns. Please contact Pastor Sean for details or
to sign-up for the class.
~ Don't forget to "spring forward" this Saturday night,
March 10th.
~ Jr Hi MGM (Modesto Gospel Mission) -- 6:30 p.m., Friday,
March 16th
~ Cornerstone Workday -- 9 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, March
17th. All are welcome and encourage to help with small
and/or large projects around the church, concluding with a
thank you lunch.
~ Next Sunday is Paul Carlson Sunday and we will be taking
a special offering.
~ Outreach Committee Mtg -- 11:10 a.m., next Sunday, March
18th, in the Pastor's Study
~ Easter is right around the corner (April 8th) and we'd
appreciate your donations of plastic eggs (just the eggs,
no candy) for our annual Easter Egg Hunt for the little
ones. You may place the eggs in the white basket in the
church foyer. Thanks.

9) RECYCLE INKJET CARTRIDGES
Don't forget that Cornerstone is an authorized recycling
center for used inkjet cartridges. We receive up to $4 for
each cartridge deposited in the collection box in the
church foyer.
