The nominating committee has recommended and the council
has approved the following members to be considered for
council nomination at our March 11, 2007 Congregational
Meeting.
Chuck Johnson: Office of Vice Chair
Lois Wilson: Office of Financial Secretary
Alan McCord: Council Position #1 - Stewardship
Katie Dockter: Council Position #2 - Missions
Ann McNulty: Council Position #5 –
Congregational Care
I am pleased with the stellar group of candidates that the
Lord has provided. As per our by-laws, nominations may be
made from the floor of the congregational meeting, provided
the candidate nominated has given prior consent. (Art. V
Sec. 2)
I want to thank the nominating committee for their
concerted effort. Please be in prayer for our council and
the tasks that lie before us in both running the church
operations and our ministry direction.

6) NEW CONNECTIONS CLASS
A new College & Adult Connection class: "The Cross and the
Prodigal: Luke 15
through the Eyes of Middle Eastern Peasants." will be
meeting during the month of February. (A-6, A-7)

7) SUPER BOWL PARTIES ~ SUNDAY FEBRUARY 4th
~ The youth group will be partying at the McNulty's @ 3
p.m.
~ The adults will be partying at the Dulin's @ 2:30 p.m.,

8) UPCOMING EVENTS
~ Cornerstone Seniors "Soup & Singing" Luncheon -- 11:30
a.m., tomorrow, Thursday, February 1st at Cornerstone.
We'll have a
variety of soups, breads, and dessert, followed by singing
some of our old favorite hymns. Cost is $5 per person.
Sign-up in the church foyer on Sunday mornings.
~ Wednesday Family Fellowship Nights --6-8 p.m., begin on
February 7th
~ Palmberg Open House -- Sunday, February 11th, 2-5 p.m.,
Please join us as we say farewell to Kris. He leaves for
the Navy on Valentine’s Day.
~ Sweetheart Dinner & Raffle -- 5 p.m., Saturday, February
17th at Cornerstone. This dinner is a fund raiser for
our Children and Youth Ministries. Tickets are $30/couple;
$3/child (includes
childcare and dinner) and may be purchased following
worship on Sundays. Questions?: Marny Fern or Stacey
McCord.

9) RECYCLE INKJET CARTRIDGES
Don't forget that Cornerstone is an authorized recycling
center for used inkjet cartridges. We receive up to $4 for
each cartridge deposited in the collection box in the
church foyer.

10) ADOPT A MISSION FAMILY
Partners in Mission is a program at Cornerstone in which
three or four families in the congregation join together in
adopting one of our missionary families (the Bosworths in
Alaska; the Boydstons in Guam; the Haworths in Japan; and
the Reeds in Spain.) We gather on a monthly basis to pray
for and encourage our adopted family as well as to learn
about their new culture and then share with our
congregation about them and their needs. Contact the
Dockters with any questions and sign up to Adopt a Mission
Family in the church foyer.
