Blessings on this Maundy Thursday!
I have heard a few questions from some people last night
and this morning that have made it clear to me that
tonight's Maundy Thursday service is not totally clear to
many of you. So I apologize for the lack of clarity about
tonight. And I realize that at this point many of you may
not even receive this email in time. Again, I apologize.
Tonight's service is set up for people to come and go
anytime between 6:30 and 8:30. There are five stations set
up to walk through in sequence, either individually or with
a couple of people. It will probably take about 30 minutes
to go through everything, although the time can vary
greatly depending upon how much time you want to spend at
each station. It is really intended to be a prayerful and
reflective time, with a lot of space for introspection and
thought.
This will be a different experience for many of us ... and
I pray that God will meet us in the midst of the Passion
Week, revealing more of who He is and who we are.
Again the basics:
Open from 6:30-8:30
Plan on about 30-40 minutes to go through the 5 stations
depending on how long you spend in reading and reflecting.
There is no childcare, but kids are welcome and we leave it
up to the parents to lead their children through the
stations. Take note that the stations are geared a little
more toward adults, so parents will have to "translate" for
their children.
