4) COVENANT WOMEN CHRISTMAS CARD
In lieu of sending Christmas Cards to your friends and
family at Cornerstone (as well as saving lots of time and
expense on postage) Covenant Women has a great alternative.
Simply sign your name on the Christmas Card in the foyer
and place a check for any amount in the basket next to it.
Your greetings will be delivered in our Christmas Eve
bulletin. Please make checks payable to Cornerstone and
designate them "Christmas Card." This years donations will
go into the Campership Fund ~ thanks for sending a child to
camp!

5) A VIEW FROM THE CHAIR
(This comes to us from our Church Chair)
Our council will be meeting this Thursday to review our
positions and prepare for the upcoming year. There are
several council members who will be completing their terms
in February, 2007. We have been prayerfully considering who
the next leaders will be for Cornerstone. Please pray for
our discernment, as well as the openness and willingness of
those who are approached and asked to serve. It is a
tremendous blessing to serve the Lord and our church.
Our search committee and transition team will be meeting
with our transition coach, Alan Forsman on Saturday,
January 13, 2007 to discuss our pastoral search process.
This is a necessary process that I am personally looking
forward to with great anticipation. Please pray for the
Lord's leading of our Search Committee (Blanche Krumm,
Chuck Johnson, Lloyd Ahlem, Chelsea Gibbs, Karen Walker,
Don Johnson, Mike Gilton, Lindsay de Bruyn, and Anthony
Salafia).
Thank you all for a wonderful Christmas Dinner last Sunday
evening. It was great to have the India Community
Fellowship join us as well.
In His Service,
Anthony Salafia

6) SERVICEMEN UPDATE
Currently we have two (known) active duty Servicemen from
our congregation. Tyler Graham is stationed Stateside &
Trevor Stevens is serving in Iraq. (Kris Palmberg switches
to active duty mid-February.) It is a blessing to show our
love, support, and appreciation by corresponding with "our
guys" especially at this time of year. Kurt Palmberg will
be shipping care packages to our guys every other month
from now on. We know they'll appreciate your gifts of:
nuts; beef jerky; candy; gum; cookies; reading materials
such as devotionals, pocket Bibles, and inspirational
books. You may place your donations in the Servicemen's
drop box at Cornerstone.
You may also correspond year round with our guys or to our
troops in general.

9) ADOPT A MISSION FAMILY
Partners in Mission is a program at Cornerstone in which
three or four families in the congregation join together in
adopting one of our missionary families (the Bosworths in
Alaska; the Boydstons in Guam; the Hayworths in Japan; and
the Reeds in Spain.) We gather on a regular basis to pray
for and encourage our adopted family as well as to learn
about their new culture and then share with our
congregation about them and their needs. Contact the
Dockter's with any questions and sign up to Adopt a Mission
Family in the church foyer.
