1) THIS SUNDAY @ CORNERSTONE -- December 31st

~ Connections will NOT be meeting today but will resume
next Sunday, January 7th, at 9 a.m.

~ Worship at 10 a.m. Scripture Reading: Psalm 148 & Luke

~ Indian Community Fellowship: 4 p.m. Please note that
beginning January 7th the Indian Community Fellowship will
be meeting from 2-4 p.m. on Sundays.

Beginning in January there will be some changes in the
areas of service: Sunday morning Hospitality Teams and
Saturday Green Teams will be discontinued. Coffee will
still be served on Sunday mornings and our new landscaping
service will take over the Green Team's duties. A BIG
thanks to everyone who has served in these areas over the
years! Please prayerfully consider where the Lord would
have you serve now.

offering income for the year.

5) OPEN HOUSE FOR BRITTA WALKER
Please join the Walker family for an Open House (306 W
Springer Dr) from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday, January 7th, to
celebrate Britta's 23rd birthday as well as her graduation
from North Park University. This will also be a time to say
goodbye as Britta will be leaving for her new job in
Michigan on January 9th. Your presence is the only present
she desires.

6) SERVICEMEN UPDATE
Thank you to all who placed donations in the Servicemen's
Drop Box. The packages have been mailed and I know our guys
appreciate the love shown through these gifts.

Kurt Palmberg will continue to ship care packages to our
guys every other month from now on. Ideas for donations
include: nuts; beef jerky; candy; gum; cookies; various
reading materials including but not limited to:
devotionals, pocket Bibles, and inspirational books. You
may place your donations in the Servicemen's drop box at
Cornerstone.

You may also correspond year round with our guys or to our
troops in general. You may place the letters in the drop
box or mail them yourselves.

7) GRIEF SUPPORT CLASSES
Beginning in January 2007 Hospice of Emanuel Medical Center
will be offering grief support classes. Pre-registration is
required for all classes. Please see the list posted on the
bulletin board at church or call Sandy Ricardo at 664-2550
for details.

8) UPCOMING EVENTS

~ The 2007 Church Directory will go to print in February.
To ensure we have your correct information you may respond
to this email or complete the forms which will be included
as bulletin inserts for the next few Sundays. If responding
by email please include: all names (yours, spouse &
children); all birthdays and your wedding anniversary;
complete mailing address and email address; all phone
numbers you would like published (home, cell, fax, etc.)

9) ADOPT A MISSION FAMILY
Partners in Mission is a program at Cornerstone in which
three or four families in the congregation join together in
adopting one of our missionary families (the Bosworths in
Alaska; the Boydstons in Guam; the Hayworths in Japan; and
the Reeds in Spain.) We gather on a regular basis to pray
for and encourage our adopted family as well as to learn
about their new culture and then share with our
congregation about them and their needs. Contact the
Dockter's with any questions and sign up to Adopt a Mission
Family in the church foyer.

6) SERVICEMEN CARE PACKAGES
We ship care packages to our servicemen on an every other
month basis. If you would like to share in this new
ministry, please place your donations in the dropbox in the
foyer. Donations may include snack foods such as nuts, beef
jerky, candy, gum, cookies, etc, as well as reading
materials such as devotionals, inspirationals, pocket
Bibles, and other positive materials.

You may also correspond year round with our guys or to our
troops in general. You may place the letters in the dropbox

9) RECYCLE INKJET CARTRIDGES
Don't forget that Cornerstone is an authorized recycling
center for used inkjet cartridges. We receive up to $4 for
each cartridge deposited in the collection box in the
foyer. Last week we received our second check in the amount
of $65 ~ thanks for giving!
