There are several posts here about problems with QC and Mountain Lion, and like others, QC is no longer working for me since I upgraded to Mountain Lion.

cmd-S opens the save as dialog in the editor rather than saving to a temporary file. And highlighting existing text and then opening an editor doesn't paste the text, it just gives a blank editing window. (This is with Byword, TextMate and MultiMarkdown composer).

What I'm not sure about from the existing posts is whether there is a fix on the way, is it a QC fix, or is it something that needs implemented in the editors, or is QC now just dead because of changes in Mountain  Lion.

Are there any editors (MD or MMD) that it will still work with?

Thanks,

Graham

For whatever it's worth, it works fine for me with Emacs. Indeed, it's
how I'm composing this reply.

QuickCursor 2.7
Mac OS X 10.8.2
Chrome 22.0.1229.94
Aquamacs 2.3

My experience is that it works for a while, and then it beachballs. Then I
have to log out and log back in to get it to work again. Since I generally
never log out to avoid losing the state of my windows, it has become quite
useless to me.

Seems like this should be the highest priority for fixing ...

Thanks both,

It's certainly broken for me, and it seems it is for others as well, but not for everyone, and not all the time.

Shame, as its a great idea.

I too have been having this problem. Bizarrely, it will work with Byword for a few days, then fail (i.e. invoking QuickCursor brings up the save dialogue box rather than a blank document, followed by beachball...). But I can use FoldingText so I do for a few days. Then it stops working with FoldingText again, but now Byword is OK... I'm on Mountain Lion 10.8.2

Is there a fix on the way, please? (I'd be quite happy if it just worked with FoldingText...)

Thanks

David

I have just removed QuickCursor from sale in the Mac App Store because
I cannot in good faith promise we can fix these ongoing issues in a
reasonable amount of time. Please see this new thread for more
details: http://groups.google.com/group/quickcursor/browse_thread/thread/3770693251baddec?hl=en

I'm sorry. If you purchased QuickCursor recently, please contact the
Mac App Store support team about the possibility of a refund
(developers cannot issue them, only Apple can).
