Missing extension: mcrypt on php 7.2.2

I installed QuickApps 2.0 with php 7.2.2.

I see the requirement of mcrypt but I read that this function is deprecated in PHP 7.1.0 and removed in PHP 7.2.0

Is it possible to remove this function and pass over?
