Hello I am new to Titleist clubs and have just recently purchased a 60 degree Vokey spin milled oil can wedge. First and only Titleist club i've owned. So far I LOVE it! I cant wait to get it out on the course this weekend! I'm wondering if it is safe for me to use my Frogger brush and groove tool on my new wedge? It came with a plain hard bristle brush head and also came with an additional head that has metal wire mixed in with the plastic bristles. On the end it has a retractable metal spike used for cleaning out the grooves. Is this groove tool safe to use or do you recommend something different. And should I stay away from the metal bristle brush head and just use the plastic one? Last thing I want to do is damage or dull the face or grooves.

Since they are still new, I suggest to stick with the plastic brush for the meantime. You wouldn't want to ruin your Vokey right away, you might get some light scratches on the face. Those groove tools are safe, and you can use them on a regular basis when you have used the wedge after awhile.

Bobby S, I currently own a frogger brush with the groove tool. My frogger recently broke in one of my tournaments so I started using a wet towel and a tooth brush. I found that it works just as good and does not scratch my wedges, MC irons, or my Titleist 910 woods.Hope this helps.

are groove sharpeners legal? i dont have one but it seems like there would be a rule against it. also, do they really work (if they are legal I would consider getting one) and are the effects noticeable. thanks
