I got an email from Lumapix with a final download to Fotofusion which screwed up the software to the point that features were taken away and the print is smaller than an ant and I can't read it to even use it. We all need to write to our Senators encouraging them to pass software laws for customers like ourselves. These companies milk their old software and to get more money out of us we now have to pay another 300.00 to buy into their Momento software which I refuse. At least with Adobe you get your money's worth and they are always improving with new features.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to get the font larger please let me know. Here is a screenshot and the size you see is looks larger because I took a picture of the screen but the font is half the size you see here. Tell me. Could you read it if it was half the size?
Locate collage.exe on the list, right mouse select it and choose Properties. Click the compatibility tab and then check the box as shown below and choose system, then click apply. Relaunch the software and the menus should all display correctly now.
Well, crap! I didn't see the email they sent and just went to make an album last night to find that my FF doesn't work anymore. I'm perturbed, too! Does anyone know how I can get the update file? I'm guessing I would just enter my existing serial number in it? UGH!!

I missed the window for requesting the files and so I emailed FF and begged them to send them to me because I get so much junk mail that I don't read my emails unless I know there is an email I'm expecting. The company was real nice to me and sent me the files. Make sure to download the files and keep them as a backup because the link they sent me only gave me a day or two.
If you are a registered user of FotoFusion, you can simply email [email protected] asking for a link to the final offline version of FotoFusion. Please include the email you used when you purchased. You will get a link to the final release, plus a link to a resource file that contains any clipart/frames/papers that you might have used in previous projects create with FotoFusion.
I just read that lumapix will send an email to download offline. Did it work for you? I tried to get it to work last September after using it for years and was told I had to buy MEMENTOPRO, which i did, but can't figure out how it works. Waste of money. Hope I can get Lumapix back.
Hi...I purchased the end of Program Lumapix 5 last September, have been using it successfully on my PC until a month ago, since then I can no longer open it. I failed to download the backup as recommended, so now I am hooped, 80 pages finished and not outputted and not accessible!! Who could share the backup with me via Dropbox? On my laptop I'm able to open Fotofusion, and work with it (won't open on desktop...even with the disks for version 4). But all the content that was previously part of the program...backgrounds, tags, labels, etc. are gone!! What's up with that. Even previous projects that used to linked to software are not there anymore.
Hi - I know this is an old old thread, but perserverance led me to find it - would like to thank you for the info on scaling via the app itself - finally I can use my FF program on my laptop!! i am so excited.
fyi - for anyone else interested - I emailed support @lumapix.com this morning and let them know i could not find the dsresource zip file - letting them know what name my software was registered under - and within about 5 minutes, they provided a link to both the application and the resource file. for anyone who didn't get it before they canned the program -

After a lot of research I decided to use AdoramaPix albums but I don't want to use their on-line software. I was thinking of using InDesign or FotoFusion which i never used before. Would anyone recommend using Photoshop for this purpose?

A Bar Mitzvah album is similar to a wedding album--usually follows the sequence of the day, with portraits here and there. You can incorporate Jewish symbols or not--depends on what kind of design you want or they want.
FF is a great product, but I have just recently moved to ID as it is far more flexible. FF does not require much in the way of prior knowledge, but is also a little limited. I have used it for years and its bullet proof IF YOU USE A PC!!! I had been in touch with the owner of lumapix some years ago and he kept promising a MAC version would be immanent. I got fed up with the wait and finally went to ID which is serving me better anyhow. ID takes some learning, but is so worth it in the end.
We design all our bar and bat mitzvah albums in Photoshop. I'd suggest it over InDesign or anything else because you'll be using it on your photos in addition to using it to lay out your spreads and pages, so you don't have to learn several software packages. I also like the flexibility offered by Photoshop. There's not a lot you cannot do, whereas with other packages you can be limited by what the software is capable of.
Most of the design software packages have free demos with 30 or 60 day trial periods. You should download a couple and compare to see what works best with your skills and looks that you want to achieve.
