Science Fiction Story: "Replicate Earths."

Heaven. And so it shows.)

Conversations with Kyle:
(1). "Anthropomass" and "Anthropoenergetics" ha ha ha!
(2). Dr. Sam Sweet: "The most unexploited resource of this planet is
Human Flesh."
(Vic in her subconsciousness "Do you mean that we should consider
resorting to cannibalism?") (Dr. Sweet meant that since all the
megafauna no longer chase us around anymore, soon it will be time for
the small critters to come and get us.)
(3). Kyle asked whether I ever lived in a co-op. I said, "No. Too much
human flesh. Like a dorm."
(4). Kyle had an idea in terms of exploiting the most unexploited
resource: Just like in Fight Club, where they recycle the fat xsses of
rich women, transform them to fine soaps, and sell it right back to
them. Kyle was thinking how the bodies could be sent through a
"digester" which can extract methane, which can be used for
powerplants, and then also remaining maneuver and fertilizers to put
in your garden or parking lots. Right now, I rationally know this is
logical, and gets around the absurdity of burial practices (much like
the living feeding off and living among the dead in a kelp bed), but I
was ready to puke at the thought.

On conversations with Andre and Anna, we discussed the condition of
aliens manipulating cage conditions of atmospheric content (percent
oxygen, nitrogen, and CO2, largely) in order to determine what percent
oxygen is needed in the atmosphere to sustain existence. Ranging from
1% to 5% to 20% to 30%? Humans live for 2-3 days without water. Humans
can live for a month without food. Depending on your internal reserves.

[I told my biology buddy and my great admiration Milton this story. I
told him my other evvertmorph prof was not interested in my science
fiction ideas, so I was sad. I also told him about United Organisms
declared as an Invasive Species. And lastly I told him about one other
idea--but I forgot at the moment. Oh ya, like how do you get an ant
morphing into an elephant in a Photoshop Size-and-Shape-Shifting
Machine. He was amused by all of them. He was amused to achieve
equality of all organisms, they had to be of equal size, such as to
neutralize any form of perceptual desires of consumption-parasitism-
mutualism, etcetera. I told Milton this might be a good idea because
these stories will inform Hollywood that there are CONSEQUENCES FOR
YOUR ACTIONS when you shift the size of organisms and systmes, you
have to shift shape-structure-function-systems-relations, and they all
think you can do the Gulliver's Travels thing. I told Jean and Chuck
that films in Hollywood are SO FORMULA that they are even more
predictable than the 7-day forecast in weather].

About the second or third week of school during Fall Quarter 2008, I
started to have a series of flash imagery come to me... routinely. I
think it was right around meeting Chris and starting conversations
with Dr. Sweet. I was only able to sketch out something, but here is a
start:

I suppose this is a "more inclusive" SPORE sequence:

Terra went through a series of epiphanies, as if it were the end of
all hings.
Her life ws flashing before her eyes while in sleep.
It was a Rite of Spring type of experience, except it was sped up 10x
as fast, and more techno-ish music in the background.
Buz was on the other side of the tent, snoring lightly.

Terra dreamed through a flash series of image.
She was falling, falling, falling, while she was screaming in faint,
distant echo: "Aaahhhhhhhhhh...."
She was falling, just like when she was first falling in blackness at
the ripe, young age of 17, but she hit ground, when she identified her
core, which instructed her, "I must survive."
This time, Terra was falling through a series of painted, warped
collages of colors. It was a beautiful fall.
She was essentially falling through the entire web of human knowledge.
Terra was falling through the entire history of the universe and life
on earth... humans included.

**generic timeline --> 14 bya, 4.6 by, 3 by, 2.5 by, 2.1 by, 540 my,
mass extinctions, 6th one, humans included
**potential multiple origins of the universe, not a singularity,
LOCALIZED ORGANIZATION SUSPENDED IN A DARK SEA OF CHAOS.... (like the
peacock and the bowerbird), everything starts to sort, principles of
entropy, for every localized construction of order, there is a
manifestation of disorder (energy dissipated) (e.g. Scott C's pottery
scraps from a larger piece)
**the big bang, sorting of elements, from small to larger, further
aggregation, localized regions of order suspended in a dark sea of
chaos
**formation of larger-scale systems, like asteroids, planetary
systems, stars, nebula centers, galaxies
**then zooming in again, more specifically the origins and accretion
of the sun and surrounding 9-planets
**then zooming into planet Earth, from barely aggregated molten rock
[from fireball to ocean]
**then the degassing of water vapor from the internal core through
volcanism (check with my dad)
**to the few million-bazillion year storm and flooding, evolution of
oceans (check with Dr. Lyons)
**few bazillion years of "rock-sorting" "there's no Jepson manual for
rocks?" gradations, heavier elements at the depths, silica is light
and floats to the top
**to the few billion-year aggregation-elimination (constructionist-
selectionist-weeding out) chemical evolution, could carbs-lipids-DNA-
proteins, since they are so different in structure, could they
actually be chemical symbiotes? Like chemical mutualists? their
function all together is greater than the parts--formation of cells,
etcetera, or intermediatires, like prions and viruses, little chemical
creatures that have characteristics on their own? (strange to think
that chemicals are living things, but in the end, organisms are macro-
scale motile sacs of chemicals, so, why should I even be surprised?)
**potential multiple origins of life, not a singularity (first exposed
by Sweet)
**then we have a couple million-billion-bazillion years of unicellular
evolution, "preconditioned morphological design" such that certain
organisms had the capacity to get larger and other organisms did not
have the capacity to get larger given their biophysical constraints of
their metabolism (e.g. anaerobic bacteria, need to study microbiology
and metabolic diversity in terms of biochemical metabolic pathways),
even at unicellular level, ecological interacitons are "dulled" in
effect, but ecological transactions end up generating entire phyla,
big cell eats small cell, and instead of big cell digesting small cell
the big and small cell start--by accident--to coordinate with each
other, evolution of multicellular organisms, like mitochondria and
choroplastics, free-love genetic exchange at that level, potentially,
volvox-colonial-division-of-labor effect, cell division versus meiosis
**then there was oxygen byproduct from photosynthesis that accumulated
in the planet, first absorbed in the rocks, then accumulated in the
atmosphere, and then the oxygen rise allowed the "blowing up" of
certain groups of aerobic organisms, called "animals," plants,
animals, and fungi were SUVed while everything else stayed small,
evolution of mass-produciton body plans, megacorporate body plans, ha
ha... from zygote to multi-billion-celled creatures,
**algae, ferns, gymnosperms, angiosperms (crutching on insects, wind-
dispersed versus insect-animal dispersed), from blobby invertebrates
to exo-endoskeletoned creatures, to vertebrates (fish, amphibians,
reptiles, birds, mammals), from water to land to air, etcetera....
ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny
**ecological stacking of relationships, the basics are the plants, the
biological solar-powered technology, then start stacking other
organisms, herbivores, omnitores, primary-secondary consumers,
vertical and horizontal stacking, degrees of dependency of creatures
(process of elimination), bottom-up dependency versus top-down
dependency, process of elimination effect
**sequences of mass extinctions, coupled with mass accumulations,
ecological locking, evolution of "ecological/evolutionary rigidity"
with accumulation of filled niche-spaces, petri dish filled up, then
gone back to blank slate moonscape, "adaptive radiations" occur
rapidly in the beginning of the filling of niche space horizontally
across landscapes and vertically (in terms of ecological stacking--
formation of degrees-of-dependency-degrees-of-specificity food webs)
**Terra's long scream, she is in the middle of a sequence collage of
the vertical and horizontal stacking of past ecological systems and
evolutionary faunas and floras, going through it fast forward, her
relative size to the rest of the images varies... (more details of
each wave of radiations and extinctions)
**NEED TO FIND MORE DETAIL ON THE WAVES OF FAUNAS AND FLORAS, COMBINED
WITH THE WAVE OF THE ANTHROPOCENE
**then Terra goes through the recent past, starting with a sequence of
somewhat similar primates, that go through "trials of error" in terms
of how these primates form small to large groups and bands
**then there are self-similar human-like Australopithecenes, then Cro-
magnons, Neanderthals, and the like (hence, Vic's pronounced brows and
foreheads)
**then the origins of the most similar to "Homo sapiens," the
beginning of the "invasion" or migration, the coupling of human-tribe
migrations with associated-ecosystem migrations ("invasive species")
(Spencer Wells research), and then, the ultimate experience is "how do
you get a Castaway-Tom-Hanks-on-an-island to a massive civilization"?)
(combination of migration, replication, expansion, division-of-labor,
control-domestication, hunting-down-the-web-displacement of pre-
existing megafauna)
**show a sequence of size-relations humans + technology becomes the
new megafauna and outwit, kill off, die out the old megafauna (not too
manageable)
**from migrations to dense settlements, the benefits of aggregation
(1) resources are heterogeneously distributed so in areas of desperate
circumstances, low in resources, then humans will have to find a way
of co-existing in areas where there is plenty of access to resources,
e.g. the Nile River (2) small tribes inbreeding problems, dense
settlements permit outcrossing, but in order for more humans to co-
exist together, there has to be (1) increased number of rule systems
to coordinate behaviors--usually in the form of religious structures
(2) vertical stacking of organization, groups of humans--family
structures, family units, work units, work structures, hierarchies,
managers, e.g. in the past there were "kings" and "slaves" and people
were stuck in their family-work structures, now there is the
possibility for mobility, there are no longer discrete tribes of
humans but there are starting to mesh, of course the driver of
organization and coordinated work among large groups of humans is the
division-of-labor effect, combined with bartering-trading-currency
**viewing the waves of different human systems, birth, growth, and
death of human societies (e.g. my friend Robyn talking about waves,
births, growths, deaths, accumulated corruption-inheritance of
systems, large societies--prone to vulnerability of collapse, and then
a massive flood or disaster or great war takes out the society and
starts all over again, resets the clock, the baseline for the next
wave, evolution of ecological rigidity, portray this as (1) bacteria
petri dish (2) growth and decay of coral reefs (3) growth and decay of
lichens (4) formation and collapse of bee colonies or leaf cutter ant
systems (5) intertidal tubeworm systems (6) colonies of bryozoans,
zooid boxes--ALL VERY SIMILAR AERIAL VIEWS OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR,
metaphorical overlay....differential NET GROWTH of societies, larger
and larger and larger over time though there are regional collapses
and failures (e.g. Maya Civilization, rainforest came back), but the
overall picture is the filling up of the Petri dish with bacteria
**Terra the bowerbird is coated with different suites of human-
constructed environments, lifestyles, and technologies (different
assemblages of tool kits Terra's hands are affiliated with--the "swiss
army knives of the times" (with existing non-human-environment) e.g.
Terra's lifestyle during the Roman Empire, time of the birth of Jesus
Christ, during the Dark Ages, the Renaissance-Enlightenment,
Industrial Revolution, etcetera
**shifts in Terra's pace of life, so hence, Terra with simple
technologies, starts walking, then jogging, then on a bike, then on a
horse, then on a horse carriage, and then a motor scooter, then an
early Ford Model T, and then a 1950s car, and then a modern car, and
Terra's sense of surroundings and pace of life became from more
concrete and observational to distant and blurry and detached, zooming
around, oblivious to one's surroundings, and then Terra, was talking
to people in person, and then she started talking on the phone, and
then she had a computer, the internet, had emails, a text message,
instant messenger, and a cell phone, and then everyone evolved from
direct to indirect communication, from direct experience to mediation
with shells (radio) and screens (television, one-way street, and
internet, two-way streeth), things started to go faster and faster and
faster,
**and her sense of reality has gone out of touch until everything is a
blur all around her and she herself is yelling while going the speed
of light, and she screamed so loud, that the camera pushed away from
her and it continued to zoom out and out and out and out and out until
you could see Terra and Buz in a little house, and a little town, in a
larger region, in a larger populated region of southern California,
then can see the whole state, and the Pacific Ocean, and then the
outline of the entirety of planet Earth, as Terra became smaller and
smaller and smaller while screaming...--
**then Planet Earth with Terra Screaming "Help!" was overlaid with a
Petri Dish, and it was a dark room, you see...

**Setting:
**It was a dark laboratory room, and there was a peculiar, whistling
"alien" in the laboratory ("alien" relative to human frame of
reference), "whistling" as the human equivalent of whistling in thris
own dimensions of "alien-ness." This alien is called a DECAPODAL
POGOSTICKAPOID (DPP for short), in honor of Mark Twain's "General
Stormfield's Visit to Heaven," my friend Lauri gave me an image of the
DPP, the very first serious "casting" of the character, and the best
qualified organism or body part of the DPP that exists today is "the
appendage of an amphipod under intense light of a microscope."
**The DPP picks up the petri dish and discovers some anomalous
perturbations
**the DPP is in a laboratory, the outside in human terms states
"CAUTION! POTENTIAL NUISSANCE OF INVASIVE SPECIES, MILKY WAY GALAXY,
PREVENTATIVE RESEARCH AND MANAGEMENT BIOCONTROL LAB." potential
nuissance, potentially out of control

**Background Information on DPPs:
**I, Victoria, the creator, have done character and historical
development of the Decapodal Pogostickapoids (DPPs), but are in
separate files, quite elaborate actually, so I have to develop a MALT
PROFILE and the EVOLUTIONARY ECOLOGY / PLANETARY HISTORY of the DPPS
**some tidbit characteristics, troubled past, they originated from
planet Skylazar, and have joined the Milky Way Alien Alliance (in
human terms, they have their own acronyms), series of imperialistic
waves-evolutions of organisms in Planet Skylazar, but over time,
instead of becoming more genetically incompatibile, the organisms
started off as genetically and morphologically distinct, and came out
to be genetically and morphologically compatible, homogenization of
shape-form over time, such are the properties of their planet at that
scale--with some carbon-based materials....
**use humans and other creatures potentially for meat, all posible
ecological roles and relations
**DPPS are multi-sexed (they have the body parts of all sexes of
theirkind but each DPP is dominated by one suite of affiliated body
parts), so there is no such thing as he or she or him or her, but is
more so "thrim" or "thris" or "thrims" or "thres"

**So, this DPP (which Terra will call "Scruffy" in the future, becuase
thris does kind of look Scruffy at larger scales), this DPP flet
emotion, a sense of curiosity when encountering this sense of
electrically charged anomaly within the Petri Dish of Planet Earth,
and through multiple poses arond the petri dish, the DPP has multiple
different sensory systems all over thris form, then after long gazes
of multiple sensory systems (including a zooming lense), the DPP
starts to detect a very disturbed homobacterium, which ends up being
Terra, supposedly a filling, overfilling petri dish
**the DPP did not fully undertstand why or how these samples were
"biologically threatning" or a potential nuissance to the invasion of
the Milky Way Galaxy, granted the petri dish was getting full, but how
could these homobacterium escape?
**the DPP felt the human-equivalent "emotion" as if a frightened baby
bird were chirping, *peep* *peep* *peep* but it was Terra screaming
"help!" "help!" "HELP!"

Backdrop Information: Current State of the Milky Way Galaxy
**To take a step back, the Universe was being taken over by the
greatest Invasive Speices of the Milky Way Galaxy
**This Invasive Species--tentatively called the "Crotsolis" (sounds
like some Greek mythological story, that's what I am shooting for)--
has the ability of Morphing Metabolism; it has the capacity to derive
energy and nutrients from almost any energy-material source, but given
the nearest available energy-nutrient source, the Crotsolis has to
morph its size and shape and structure and metabolism, for example, if
energy were being derived from rocks, the Invasive Species (IS) would
have to "divvy up" and would have a very slow, small-scaled metabolic
existence, if energy were derived from stars, it would form a blanket
of multiple 3-d layers to maximize surface-area exposure, but had very
slow neurological impulses with delayed responses (much like the Venus
fly trap), and if it derived energy and nutrients other existing
organisms, it had the ability to metabolize in a very fast-paced
manner and the ability to morph into rapid-paced creatures of
horrifically maneuverable states--and that is when the Crotsolis is
most dangerous, an Ecological Cannibal that can assume any role,
whether dissected into pieces--coordinated parts like an ant colony,
or a coordinated, physical whole, can take competitive, collaborative,
predator, herbivorous, parasitic states, it is absolutely deadly in
its properties, and ultimately there is a quest for ultra abiotic
states endemic to this Crotsolis that could possibly stop its invasion
and destruction, as if it were a temporary crash course, homogenized
algae bloom that was invading and coating a lake of the Milky Way,
only to render dead species of "alien fish" to bubble to the surface,
could the Crotsolis embody and consume all energy of the Milky Way
until its death? become its own Biological Black Hole? Could it extend
its tentacles to the nearest neighboring galaxy, like the Adromeda?
Would it have the physical capacity to endure unknown spectrums of
physics and dark matter? The situation is looking very bleek
**in short, the Crotsolis can extract energy from stars, planet,
rocks, atmospheres, biological matter, depending on the energy source,
they havea certain efficiency in extracting the units, morphing from a
three-dimensional blanket into various sizes and shapes, aggregated or
dissected into coordinated discrete pieces, the Crotsolis operates as
a Singularity of Consciousness, even though they can be in discrete
pieces like a coordinated amoeba colony, but the Crotsolis is one
thing for sure--a Mindless Consciousness, they are not Conscious about
their Consciousness, they just Consume and Absorb everything in site
without considering consequences of their actions--nor the thoughts or
feelings of other alien creatures (non-sustainable growth, so to
speak), and to make things worse, they have a 100% recyclability
system inside their own internal morphology, so they recycle and re-
use their own "shxt" so to speak like plants make plant poop but make
lignin out of it in the barks of trees (maybe what will happen is that
the Crotsolis will reach maximum size and self-destruct because of
after a million cycles of 100% chemical recyclability, there exists
the concept of the evolution of rigidity and eco-galactic-chemical
inbreeding, not enough new materials and outcrossing, destined to self-
destruct into a ploom of dust, just like all other self-organizing
systems, from bacteria to stars--just at different scales in space and
time, incumbent chemical imbalance, no longer sustain structure, and
then all parts destruct and become a nebula that wouldn't have the
capacity to re-assemble into a new galaxy for billions of gazillions
of years, and this is how we found there are multiple universes, and
multiple origins of the universes), the Ultimate Size-Shape Shifting
Creature of the Known Universe--at least to the Alien Alliance (but
honestly, Terra and Buz are already turmoiled about their own Earthly
condition, they seriously DON'T need to know about additional threats,
keep them naive, they're too young to get gray hairs)
**The Crotsolis evolved as a tiny unicellular creature aggregate
bacterial mat in a planetary system that was surprisingly close to
Planet Earth but somehow humans registered "outside the spectrum" and
remained oblivious to this entire galactic invasive phenomenon

**There is an Alliance of Aliens (AA, in human terms), and they are in
battle with the Crotsolis--and trying to find extreme abiotic
remedies, endemic to the Crotsolis to achieve some form of biotic
control, there have been some success in slowing down invasion and
consumpsion, some slowing down and preventative growth, but also with
huge negative consequences for the rest of the Alien community, there
are three primary alien communities with "superior technologies" in
terms of (1) quantity (2) quality (3) speed (4) available resources
(5) plasticity, but there are several other allies working on smaller
projects
**the DPPs had an "inferior" assemblage of technologies--by far
anything comparable to humans, so they were contributing to the "war
effort" on the home front (like Ray making rubber tires for Shell
Chemical during World War II), the DPPs were involved in backdrop
"preventative research" biological control efforts of potentially
nuissance organisms that have tendencies to grow and invade, must like
the Crotsolis, the goal was to study them, and primarily make sure
they have no capacities to further spread, but also do research to see
what these organisms can do beneficially for the DPPs and the Alien
Alliance in general (AA get together because they all have problems,
much like Alcoholics Anonymous, ha ha)
**backdrop, wartime research, metabolic preventative management unit,
prevent all nuissance creatures from spreading and becoming another
invader, cohort, keep all potential nuissances "under rap" so minor
does NOT become major... again! (kind of like biocontrol of sabellid
worms!), not another set of runaway species
**so the goal for the DPPs is to study systems like Planet Earth, and
first and foremost, find a way to KEEP THEM QUARANTINED to PLANET
EARTH, MINIMALLY INVASIVE, MINIMALLY PESTIFEROUS!

**Returning to the Main Plot:
**the alien tried to peer into the Earth petri dish and pick out the
perturbations, it was pinned downto being a rather solo disturbed
homobacterium--by the name of Terra--ad so the DPP went through huge
efforts to extract this Terra with the aid of attached appendages and
thris Zooming Eyes Scope--amazing technological feat for the DPPs,
quite recent
**even though the DPP never saw a homobacterium before, thris thought
that Terra was "cute" (in human terms) and quite "conscious about
consciousness" unlike the Crotsolis, the DPP--ruining any potential
for "objectivity"--took a benevolence, a liking for the creature
nearly upon first sight, the DPP started to feel guilty and knew
thriself that thris was biased in scientific efforts

**the DPP tried to get this homobacterial Terra to "equivalent size"
and equivalent scales, for Terra existed at the "micro" scale of the
DPP, the DPP tried to "blow Terra up" to their size simply because
there were multi-scaled incompatibilities (operate at different
scales, different pace of life, different metabolisms, different
lifespans, different biological activities, different chemical and
physical rules, in short the rules of biological existence shift at
different scales) for example Terra's lifespan at the homobacterial
level was ONE MONTH of the DPPs lifespan (kind of like Microcosmos)
**So, the DPP needed to enlarge Terra to (1) slow down her lifespan
(2) attempt to further study in detail--even attempt to communicate at
similar scales
**the DPP mindlessly replicated "biological mush soup material" from
the Earth Petri dish and pumped it into Terra's system, the DPP did
not account for the notion that if Terra were to change size, she
would need to change shape and structure and function and metabolism,
as soon as the effort started in "photographic enlargement" (thinking
that reality was geometric, not allometric, oopsy!) Terra's form
started to become wildly distorted and warped, to a point of seeming
appearance of simulataneous explosion in one part of her form and
implosion in other parts of her form, the DPP then started to stick
tubes in her, mouth, eyes, nose, ears, anus, anywhere there seemed to
be a hole, and then tried to put stakes to redistribute the swelling
and imploding parts, it was just alien instinct but the DPP had a
hunch that something was wrong from Terra's point of view (thankfully
she was unconscious during this part), it was a point the DPP took a
step back and from a human frame of reference, imagine looking at a
loopy, half-crushed sea urchin, and the DPP only got Terra from micro
to centi scale (human terms). Only one power of ten. The DPP snapped
and then reverted all that was done, reshrunk to orignial state and
the "poor Terra" was red and bruised all over, she did not regain any
form of consciousness in "two weeks" which was the middle world of
time between DPP and human lifespan. she will never return the same,
Terra is stucks with several purple and red splotches--light colored--
all over her form...
**poor Terra! Her body simply would not just do a simple picture
enlargement! such deformation and distortion, it was a Photoshop
Nightmare! could not physically morph her size on the condition of
change and shape, then again, perhaps why the DPP looks like as it
does!
**this is a MAJOR LESSON FOR HOLLYWOOD--if you want to shift the size
of humans and other creatures, you have to change SHAPE and STRUCTURE
AND FUNCTION (e.g. Gulliver's Travels and Fantastic Voyage just don't
cut it)
**blips: DPP made a bloody splotchy mess, pumped with silly putty
earth material from the petri dish, replicated in a machine, pumped
into form, filled her with tubes and pipes, sea urchin effect, trying
to keep her alive, her pulse stopped a couple of times, heart
vibration, not good, the engine inside Terra not working well...
deflated Terra back to original size
**the DPP had acquired two assisants and helping hands for the whole
ordeal

**Terra was placed in a "buffer room" that seemed to be a blank
slate / sterile environment near by the "top secret biocontrol lab"
**Terra was bathed in a fractal-like hospitable earthly moosh, it was
very colorful, part orderly and part chaotic, part fractalesque, part
mooshy ploom
**Terra delt with "two weeks of recuperation" from the "enlargement
experiment" the two weeks represented a humanly and a DPP timespan,
not very well calibrated, nor well documented, most of the time she
remained unconscious, or groggy-conscious, but over time, gained
strength, and started to look around her, not minding at all this
abstract fractal-like environment (which was a surprise to the DPP
observing her)
**whatever length of time it was, it seemed to take forever for this
impatient DPP dealing with a galactic/war invasion crisis
**when Terra had a bout of gaining full consciousness and started to
become extremely mobile and exloratory of her new abstract
environment, the DPP (who saw her, but Terra did not see thris) worked
on enlarging Terra digitally through magnification techniquse, visual-
perceptual enlargement, also the DPP created an environment such that
Terra's metabolism tremendously slowed to sync up with the metabolism
of the DPP, the DPP did not alter Terra's morphology, but essentially
the DPP changed the properties of the room, warped space and time,
changed physics and chemistry rules, etcetera, such that Terra's
lifespan was equivalent to that of the DPP without any form of
physical enlargement... they were finally on the same scale, the
samepage... "artificially" on the same page
**Terra was actually excited and fascinated by the DPP, she could tell
it was alive, it seemed very enthusiastic and charismatic...
**over time, through the DPPs observations of Terra's behaviors, thris
became more emotionally glued, to figure out more of these little
creatures,
**then one day the perception became a two way street, the DPP was
very bashful in showing thriself to Terra, but all Terra did was
giggle and was so excited to see something moving other than the usual
fractal biological moosh that was sustaining her existence, they
started playing motion games with each other, and then over time it
was as if they were "communicating" they had started to establish
predictable motions and and presentations, and then Terra took some of
the harder material-sand-like and started drawing pictures in them,
and the DPP with complex glass-computer started drawing pictures, and
also put their language, which was very web-like, weaving of web-like
characters Terra did not understand, as she placed A B C on paper, the
DPP didn't understand, Terra said Scruffy to the DPP and DPP only knew
the motion of her lips, but found a labeled meaning, Terra drew
"Scruffy" fuzzy and then she pointed to the DPP, and over time,
instead of drawing lots of elaborate pictures and strange dances to
each other, as if they were both mating bowerbirds, they started
drawing short-hand, the DPPs were concerned this DPP was working so
hard on thris project, other DPPs saw Terra she could not see them,
so, from short-hand drawings, they evolved to code words, and they
became rather efficient in conversing with each other.
**Then Terra--out of oblivion--went flashing through her horrible
dream--and in code and pictures and then more elaborate pictures, she
begged Scruffy to "rescue" Buz from the Earth petri dish... Terra
became mortified and Scruffy wanted to do anything to calm Terra down,
the DPP went back to the lab and picked up the petri dish of planet
Earth, and through much hours of scrutiny pin-pointed and extracted
Buz, who didn't go through the same "Sea Urchin" trials of Terra, but
went straight into the same neutral-fractal room as Terra, they were
both bathed in their Earth soup
**Buz was in shell-shock and they both hugged each other and curled
into fetuses for a long time, the DPP became concerned, but over time,
Terra seemed to start explaining everything to Buz, about Scuffy, she
called him a DPP, and Buz then one day snapped and started to
communicate a little with Scruffy, seemed like a very fascinating,
colorful creature, both consumed biological schlop material from the
petri dish, mass produced by the DPP, still alive

**then in a week of communication exchange (after all the training),
Terra, Buz, and the DPP came to reach a common vision--and a level of
common agreement (though it was a one-way street of revealing
underlying motivations, Terra and Buz truly did not need to know the
existence of the Crotsolis, they were already struggling to exist in
their own planet)
**Terra and Buz expressed concern about the "non-sustainable state" of
Planet Earth, uncontrolled growth, physical and mental condition,
discoordination, fragmentation, etcetera, no sense of "optimal
management" and "optimal design" of human-environmental systems, and
there are too many ethics and morals and values and absurdity of human
behavior getting into the way of experimenting in the design of a more
optimal human-environmental systems
**then the DPP started to understand why Terra was alarmed, why she
was screaming--her fall through the entirety of knowledge, we need
some help, humans are supposed to be intelligent, they don't know how
to manage themselves on their planet, the state of habitability and
hospitability of their planet
**it is ironic because the DPPs motive was to KEEP THE HUMANS ON THE
PLANET, QUARANTINED, BIOLOGICAL CONTROL, but the DPP sensed how
disturbed and agitated they both were, the DPP decided not to tell
them about the greater problem, even how homobacteria were even
classified as potential invasive species and nuissance organisms, but
agreed to help--out of "interest" "kindness" and the benefit of
science, and Terra was happy for some "outsiders" and "fresh eyes" on
the situation

**the DPP talked to thris superior and the Superior was in great awe
for the work of this DPP to set up a benign collaboration with a
couple of homobacterial units, "in order to defeat--or manage--the
enemy, one must know how the enemy thinks" is how the DPP pitched to
thris superior--without internal agreement with the statement, you
have to spin the argument to impress the superior, and so it goes....
**there were some issues, Terra and Buz said they still wanted the
desire to still colonize Mars--for psychological purposes, but there
are some unsettled disputes...
** "optimal management" "how to keep humans on Planet Earth" are the
same common goal, for the same common good, but all in a different
spin, insider versus outsider perspective, and it's important to have
both viewf of the subject, people inside their experiment, may not
have the ability to think so clearly
**terras was elated to "talk to an outsider" besides having Buz
around, humans were "driving her nuts" need some "new eyes" "new
blood" to look at the "sustainability problem" fresh, not a human,
because stupidity of ethics and morals gets in the way, innocent alien
can see the entire system with fresh, "objective" eyes
**the alien said "Yes, I want to leave the homobacteria alive, I just
don't want them to spread too much."

**ASIDE --> WHAT IF THE DPP EVOLVED 5 LAYERS OF DECISION-MAKING
SYSTEMS IN THEIR HEADS--HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE WIRING AND THE SENSORY-
CENTRAL FILTERING--HOW THE BODY IS WIRING-PLUMBING-STRUCTURE-
MECHANICS? PRIMAL-TO-MORE-ADVANCED, PRIMAL-IMPULSIVE TO MORE
CONTEXTUAL? DISSEVOLVED BRAIN PARTS?

**the DPP had a confused internal identity, how could this little
petri dish of homobacteria be a threat to the universe if all of them
are so polite and mindful like Terra? Uhhhh... maybe not the case. How
could they be considered nuisances? Pests? Fine, they WERE growing
quite fast in their petri dish as of late
**little did the DPP know that even though thris intentions were so
good, that thris ultimately lived in a militaristic system of the DPP
and that other DPPs were investigating the potential medical and
consumptive benefits of the the homobacteria--but it's best right now
that Scruffy remain ignorant as well... like some experiments to see
"how humans taste like" or can be cultured to make certain DPP
foods...
**the primary goal for the DPPS was BIOCONTROL, MANAGEMENT,
QUARANTINE, MUCH LIKE WHAT HUMANS DO TO COWS, but of course, you know
this is a difficult task, as seen in the Matrix Movie

**Terra, Buz, "Scruffy" the DPP, two assistants, and the Superior set
up a CONTRACT, agreement for conducting an experiment of REPLICATE
EARTHS to figure out and play out what is "optimal design" of human-
environmental systems such as to maintain stability on Petri Dish
Earth and humans have close to no incentive to leave--except for
neighboring planets and sending out probes (unsettled portion of
contract, Scruffy is starting to understand the notion of
psychologicla purposes--providing the illusion that these creatures
don't want to be "stuck" on planet Earth, they are too mindful,
undetermined, still under negotiation of the contract)
**Terra and Buz already prepared a draft Environmental Impact Report
(EIR) for Planet Earth called Question Reality: An Investigation of
Self-Humans-Environment. 1000 pages, written in English, which is a
problem, so Terra and Buz spent an endless week drawing pictures of
"what they meant" in the language, lots of simple, understandable
cartoon drawings for Scruffy, who placed them on a board as if they
were x-rays in a doctor's office
**the Superior DPP had to get a secondary contract with the Alliance
of Aliens on the experiment, it was quickly maneuvered "yes" the
Spartan mode of the other AA members was high and "wartime research"
was highly promoted but least priority in the onslought of the
Crotsolis.

**So, they stated to draft and design a series of experiments of
REPLICATE EARTHS, Terra's dream of finally experimenting the "Eigtht
Continent."
**Replicating Earths materialistically in the side Potential Invasive
Species lab
**no human morals involved, no human ethics involved, no value
systems, no religion, except for the use of organismal-biology-
survival-replication logic, Terra and Buz felt so much liberty and
freedom, even no university rules and regulations, no wait time--it
was war--battletime... rapid change, "elaborate unethical human
experiments"
**the best part is that the DPPs have these labs that can warp space
and time such as to speed up or slow down experiments
**had to do alterations and manipulations at all possible scales, from
micro to macro, as if this scientific experiment were conducting
multiple variations of the Rite of Spring
**sampled / replication of biological moosh, extract earth materials
**placing humans in cages, designing cages, individual humans, humans
at various ages and sizes, series of experiments on how to best design
a cage "optimal conditions for human habitability" as if humans were
placing rats and guinea pigsin cages...
**had to play with basic conditions, oxygen, water, food, made lots of
mistakes, loss of human lives "sacrifice a few and save the many" all
in test environment, controls and variables, etcetera, march through
"Maslow's ladder" strings
**chemical pills to keep humans alive, much like the Matrix? much like
Factory American Corporate Food?
**Terra and Buz involved in the design of experiments, they felt a
little bit psychologically traumatized, felt like they were pat of the
FBI
**not only experiment with humans at different ages, young to old,
male-female, individual level
**they started to create "network" experiments on islands "8th
continent" material, from small to large-scale societies, optimal
distribution of resources
**they started created these systems much like humans were designing a
maze of cages for blind naked mole rats... for other humans to
watch... "artificial environments" for humans
**then asked questions of "designer ecosystems" what do you want?
humans to survive? how big is the system? How many? how much resources
available? all the questions that remain mysterious to any one human
being...
**humans are tough cookies for maintenance because you have to
construct a "matrix" environment, such that you have to maintain basic
resources for them to survive but the difficult thing is that they
have to be simulaneously intellectually entertained, their minds are
highly demanding... humans are "highly fidgeting creatures, mentally"
as Scruffy the DPP observed! almost dichotomized life, resource
consumption and production versus information consumption and
production
