But I just heard a guy from Microsoft explain the name Xbox came from the idea to have a system look like a console, but running Windows Direct X. So "direct x box."

True funny story. We're all playing older consoles now anyway. 
Well at least I'm laying GameCube games even if it is in the wii console.

I did not know that.
I've been playing through the quake series and currently I'm playing the original Half-Life. The graphics aren't ask advanced as games of today, but it still looks great and has stood the test of time. Regardless, the story is fun to play through. I do wish they constructed FPS games with a more complex puzzle/maze to navigate. That being said, it's still really good, and the bot interaction is extremely impressive for a game released in 1998.
I will say this, unlike all the FPS games of mid 2000s and on, the Half-Life and the Quake games are LONG and actually have a storyline that's fun to follow/be a part of.

I am playing Super Smash Bros for Wii U. It is amazing. Duck Hunt dog is a very interesting character. And it's always fun to throw Dr. Mario off of a building.

diablo 3 for me, whenever i get some time.
but usually i don't because my son likes watching me traverse the many(and difficult) levels of various megaman games.
we just started 4.

Im currently limited to JRPGs and such because of my one handedness. Ive got Phantasy Star 3 on deck and am hoping to pick up a copy of Shining Force 2 soon.
