i've been thinking a good deal about how people are like "are you even a real geek?" and what that even means.

i was specifically thinking about what things i'm obsessed with, such that i could go on and on about it for great lengths of time. something for which i'm actually a geek.

the only thing i feel i remotely come close to having enough knowledge and history of to call myself a geek about would be mtg. even then there's so much i don't know.

for instance, today i stumbled across the fact that this exists:

i also found out that it's essentially a modern day retelling of Xenophon's Anabasis.

i didn't know any of that.

any of you read any of that?

i'm tempted to get a kindle copy of the warriors to start reading right away, but if it's only so so, i might just wait to get a hardcopy.
