I got a bunch of games for $2/each. The majority came with manuals. The Mega Man 5 manual sold on eBay for $38. The game has offers of $44 on it.
I'm headed to pick up N64 Super Smash Bros and five other games and two N64 controls for $15 at lunch.

I'm competing with a few sharks. What's funny is that I'm just nicer than my competition.

Yesterday, I let the lady selling the games give me a price. While we are chatting after the sale, she mentions my main competition by name and tells me how "bad they lowballed" her. It's the same offer I thought of making.

By letting her give me a price, I was able to just buy what I wanted and gain some social karma. She is going to tell her friends to call me to unload their old games.

Just be nice and let the deals come to you.

End of rant.

i guess i never could get into that chase. for a little while i did for marvel legends action figures.
i've hence sold all of them, because they sat in a closet for 3 years in a box, and my 529 plan for E makes way more interest than they ever will.
so i've moved into that realm. i'll just let my retirement accounts make me that kind of money, and buy (at whatever price) games i absolutely want to play.
