Registered participants in online or hybrid course offerings are required to have access to a computer or other media device (i.e. iPad) with a camera and a microphone. Courses will be taught via Zoom and/or the Blackboard online learning management program. Learn the various techniques of using acrylic paint. Explore applying glazes, impasto, and layering. Create your own masterpiece with a live, online instructor! A supply list will be emailed before class. Instructor: Pam Keller
Practice and refine your drawing abilities using pencils, charcoal and ink. With these three mediums, learn how to create values and interpret 3D objects. All levels of students are welcome. A supply list will be emailed before the first class. Instructor: Pia Cruzalegui

Use pastels to learn color theory. As a medium, pastel has multiple possibilities. It allows us to be fluid between drawing and painting and increase expressive qualities by focusing on color theory. Art, as related to wellness, is about slowing down, taking a breath and finding joy in the creative process. Through exercises in mindfulness, play, journaling and expressive art-making, we will discover the connection between creative activities and well-being. Each class begins with setting an intention and performing a warm-up exercise. Playing with paint, drawing, collage and a variety of other mediums will help us discover our creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment. Become a mud-ball artist! During this hands-on class, students will create their own Japanese art balls. Hikaru dorodango is a Japanese art form that uses earth and water to create a shiny sphere resembling a billiard ball. Dorodango requires both patience and concentration to hand-shape each ball. The process is simple, but the result is beautiful art. No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Instructor: Jay Sternickle

Gain the skills needed to provide basic maintenance on your vehicle. Save time and money by keeping your car in top condition. Learn what to do when the engine light comes on, what different types of tires or fuel are used for, how your suspension works and when it needs maintenance. Learn how to perform a 30-point inspection and what technicians look for when completing one. Classes are taught in the automotive lab on the Glen Ellyn campus using college vehicles.
