i'm having problems with iCloud drive. When I go to settings then iCloud i don't have the option to turn on or off iCloud drive. For some reason it disappeared. I need it to use my iWork applications!
This was my problem too. -Thanks. I do so dislike it when options are REMOVED from menus. Greying out lets you know you are looking at the correct place but the option is not available. Even better would be an actual reference to the restriction. Two very different directions to look for a solution. I wasted time looking for this when it could have been right there on the menu. Starting to have to have doubts about Apple's ability to create intuitive interfaces
I had a look at several of my colleagues and all the iCloud Drive option was available in the settings. It should not act on security restrictions from my employer so. I have the same issue on my iPad. On my MacBook, and in the web browser, however iCloud Drive works as it should and documents are synchronized. Desperation slowly wide. What can I do?
My wife's iPad mini also has the same problem and it is an enterprise purchase, too. Have you been able to get this fixed as I've tried everything other than a complete restore. Her MacBook Pro and iCloud.com seem to work fine as far as syncing files, but I can't even get the iWork apps to access iCloud drive files. And yes, the iCloud Drive option in settings is missing.
Why doesn't icloud drive show up on my icloud settings screen? When I open the files app, it says to turn on icloud drive. Pressing the link takes me to the settings screen which shows my icloud storage, but there is no way to turn on icloud drive. It's a company phone, but the IT support person said it's not blocked. Any ideas?
In the resource manager check to see what's using that hard drive. Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Resource Monitor. Or on command line "perfmon.exe /res".perfmon windowGo to the Disk tab and see what Processes have Disk Activity on that drive. This won't solve your problem as windows will probably never put in a nice right click, but it may help figure out what's happening and let you do it without shutting down or sleeping.
At this time, Windows 10 does not treat a memory stick on the USB port the same way it treats a Hard Drive. One option is to turn off the computer. That is, go to the Power > Shut Off. An alternative mentioned by someone else is to go to Sleep mode and then wake up. That does not do any good if I just want to remove the USB connected hard drive and continue my other computer stuff. Microsoft has not fixed this problem. Note, it is an interface problem where the operating system (Windows) should manage this. Sorry, people, Microsoft sees no urgent need to correct their operating system bugs. UNIX and Linux do not make these errors because programmers who care about the user have removed many problems Microsoft programs into their operating systems. In review, Shut Down the computer. Then unplug the USB to your External Hard Drive. There are no other solutions.
Hi, can anyone help solve why the option for inserting a video from Google Drive into a slides presentation is not available. I only have an option for YouTube or YouTube URL. Looking at online guides, there should be a 3rd option for Google Drive, however I cannot seem to figure out how to get this option enabled.
So I've recently set up a new server for UNRAID that has 4 4TB Seagate IronWolfs & a 500GB WD M.2 NVMe SSD. I'm using the latest version of UNRAID, 6.9.2 & trying to add the M.2 drive as a cache drive, however I'm not seeing any options anywhere on the page where you add drives/set up pools to add a cache drive. I thought it was supposed to be the last option in the drives list but it's nowhere on the page.
"Player Can Drive" option is supposed to stop Ground commander from driving / controlling unit on the map according to manual. But you can still give a unit move order by: Double clicking the unit, Clicking Shift button (shortcut for move order), and then just giving waypoint in the normal way.
Another thing: I can't uncheck player can drive option on SA-11 for example(the option is grayed out), but I can move it on the map from Ground commander without even doing the trick above. How to avoid from units like SA-11 from being moved
That is working as intended as far as I know. A lot of units cannot be driven by the player as in, get behind the wheel or in the turrent and move it from there but as they are still ground units, they can be commanded around the F10 map using the F10 map controls.
The SA-11 is greyed out for player can drive because it's not possible as it is not modelled to allow a player to drive the unit. It can be that it's part of a group of vehicles where the first one is or was a unit that was player driveable, if that is the case, all vehicles inherit this option but for those vehicles that the option is not allowed, player can drive shows a check sign but is greyed out, meaning you cannot drive it.
As for the second part, I'm well aware of the fact that sa-11 can't be driven. Still there should be a way to make it unctontrolable on the map. Ungreying out that option would do the trick if there was no bug which I described above again.
'Player can drive' should be an option to allow or not allow a player to drive in 1st person. 'Uncontrollable' stops a commander from giving orders to a unit or group from the command map. Seems manual needs to be updated.
hello, i'm using the 12.2 version and also Box Drive to sync folders/files.
Under the windows explorer there is a menu for Box Drive options (see below) but under Directory Opus, impossible to have which is a pain.
Hih looking to see if Dropbox has a "drive" option where if you are connected to the internet, you can see your data through a folder on your file manager. When you disconnect, it goes away. Much like Box and Egnyte have. I "assumed" Dropbox has this functionality but do not see it anywhere I look on the app. Any help? Thanks!!
That being said, Dropbox Professional and Business both have the Smart Sync feature which allows you to set the Dropbox folder and it's content to be Online-only but still appear on your local drive. Any file you open is downloaded and set Local and then opened like any other file. This still requires that you have the Dropbox client installed on your computer, and will still sync files that are set to Local.
Hi Lucil. Thank you for the reply. My main issue is we will have more data on Dropbox than our hard drives will hold. Hence we want to take full advantage of the Dropbox cloud. I do not want to sync anything, yet I do not want to use GUI to access my data. I'd like a mapped folder or drive to my data however. This will help keep our data organized. Does that make sense? I am not sure Dropbox has that functionality, does it?
I'm trying to get a macOS VM started so i can run some mac-specific apps for secondary school, but when editing the hardware it doesn't start with any hard disk option and I can't add one like the guide I've been following is saying to. -windows-10-virtual-machine/ (about 2/3 down or so)
In an attempt to make the qemu -drive command line options more accessible, here is an extract from the qemu-system-x86_64 man page. You can get the complete man page by entering the following in a terminal window:
man qemu-system-x86_64
The -drive options listed below are based on the old syntax. If you want to get good read and write performance, see the recommendations on drive configuration under Tuning VM Disk Performance.
if=interface
This option defines to which type of interface the drive is
connected. Available types are: ide, scsi, sd, mtd, floppy,
pflash, virtio. We use virtio for performance.
NetBackup support for physical tape drives controlled by a robotic library is licensed per physical tape drive; regardless of the manufacturer, type of device, or number of servers attached to the library. There is no charge for stand-alone, nonrobotic tape drives directly attached to a NetBackup Master/Media Server or NetBackup Server.
The thought of any type of data being exploited is always a concern for many. Dell offers the option to keep your hard drive if it has failed or is in the process of failing. It is highly recommended to purchase this service because, typically, customers are required to return a hard drive under warranty when a replacement is received.
