AbbyThis is my sweet baby girl Abby. She was only six years old. She had the sweetest personality! I miss her cuddling in my lap ( because she thought she was the size of a toy poodle!) talking to me insistently for a treat! Lying on the floor by my chair so I could put my hand on her. I miss her paw prints across my freshly mopped floor, lying her head in my lap for an ear scratching. My heart is broken. Thank you to Gentle Goodbyes who helped her cross the rainbow bridge on 12/17/23. The seizures were just too much.
Stallone 12/18/23
Stallone was my first dog, and he taught me everything about unconditional love. He aged into the BEST boy I could have wished for. Stallone loved the water. He had a nose for finding the perfect stick to fetch. Stallone loved chewing on toys but really went nuts for a raw hide or a frozen pumpkin pure treat. Stallone loved going for walks and was always very vocal when I got his leash out. Stallone loved a good nap, especially if it was on my bed; however, Stallone was not a fan of snuggles. He tolerated snuggles well and even seemed to seek it out when I needed it the most, though. He was such a big boy and hugging him was the BEST. Stallone made the best happy sounds when he got a good butt scratch, and he always let me know when it was time to eat with the same sounds. Our family will miss him very much. Our little home isn't the same without him.
Cheveyo
Cheveyo came to us from an abused home. He found a loving home with us and became Chris' service dog. Cheveyo was not only our best friend but a member of our family. He was a very loving and caring boy. He is deeply missed.
Randy
One of our retired police dogs, Randy, had to be put down after dealing with a neurological condition in the late stages of his life. Randy came to us in December of 2015 and spent the next five plus years working with Officer Lee. He was a great drug dog and a brave and committed patrol dog with multiple apprehensions. He also was one of the few dual purpose dogs certified by POST as a tracking canine. He spent his time with us keeping officers safe and making a scene out of himself and Ofc. Lee during public events if he was not occupied with a toy. Randy spent his early retirement getting bossed around by dogs 3 times smaller than him and then moved to larger property with room to roam and plenty dog stuff to do. He had a great time with us and lived the good life in retirement, but he will be missed.
Traeger June 20, 2018 to Dec 18, 2023
Our hearts are broken losing this gorgeous, spunky, wickedly smart and loving boy. His joy for life was unmatched and 5 years was not long enough. In the midst of the heartache and hard decisions I knew who I wanted to be with us and Traeg through it. I had the privilege of being with my aunt when gentle goodbyes came to put her 2 pups down. Your outstanding care and tenderness makes it more bearable for us. Thank you for helping our boy fly free. We appreciate you more than you know. We love you Tareg, chase those squirrels in heaven my bub.
Daisy
Daisy was my best friend and my protector since I was 9 years old. She loved to run, loved to eat treats (people food and pet treats alike), and could always be found in cozy places. Her favorite, when she was younger, was a big flower pot we had in the backyard. Later in life it was any couch or bean bag chair. She was sweet and always loved people, and made it a point to be one of the first ones to greet you at the door. She would lean on you if she wanted pets and would be there if you were sick or hurt. When my sister was born, Daisy stayed in her room all night while she slept to protect her. Even to the end, as you guys noticed, she was a fighter.
At 21 years old, writing this only a few days after what would have been her 14th birthday, I miss her constantly. At first it was difficult to accept that she was gone, but now I find comfort thinking about the places she could be now. She'll always be my first dog, my best friend, and my protector. I hope she knows how much I love her.
Ava
Born on April 25th, 2009
Crossed the rainbow bridge on December 10th, 2023
Together, we shared the adventure of a lifetime. As a young pup, she basked in the sun on the shores of the Pacific Coast. Later, we journeyed through the Rocky Mountains where she'd chase squirrels and even a deer or two. We even ventured through the Grand Canyon together! At 6, she welcomed the arrival of my daughter, who she fiercely loved and protected for the rest of her days. So much love, joy, and devotion she provided my daughter and I. She truly was my soul mate. You will be greatly missed Ava. Until we meet again, rest in peace my sweet girl.
Makai
(5/2009-11/2023)
The sweetest, little cuddle-buddy you could ever ask for. Thank you for all the snuggles on our chests and for always keeping our spots warm until we came back to the couch or bed.
We'll miss your personal escorts to the bathroom and your little grumbles as you'd be getting frisky during your after-dinner routine
You were always the greatest protector and the epitome of, "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog". Feisty and fierce: The Mighty Makai.
Although you weren't large by any means, the impression you've left on our hearts is immeasurable. Have fun with Misty, Boots, and Rocky until we see you all again.
Lucy
This is My Lucy.......I adopted her from IHS in May 2009. She had come in with her litter mates and Mom so I know she was 18 months old when I brought her home. She had been adopted and returned 3 times in 16 months (which I'll never understand why) She was 1 of 2 of the best dogs I've ever had. She NEVER did anything naughty. NOT ONE THING! She was perfect in every way. She was soulful, stoic, gentle, calm, kind, OH so patient, protective without showing any aggression to anyone and SOOOOOOOOO beautiful. When I would have her in the car with me.....people would constantly take photos of her. I had a car in Bend Oregon (that I thought was trying to race me) that was trying to get a pic of her. HAH! I've had dogs my entire life and she had a smell that was like no other dog I've ever had. She had a wild smell to her. She was one month shy of 17 years old and you would never know it. She was my healthiest dog I've ever had and I am SO grateful for that.
I miss her EVERY minute of the day and I am sure I will for a very long time....but I love that she is no longer suffering.
Frankie
Frankie aka Frankie doodle, Franklin doodle, baby frankers or Sir Frankerton was the most gentle, sweet and docile little guy. He truly was the epitome of a best furry friend. He was the biggest cuddler, afraid of his own shadow, and as loyal as the day is long. His time with us was so short, but he left the biggest impact(or paw print) on our hearts. We can only hope he's up in the good place with our other loved ones cuddling up next to them eating all the cheeseburgers.
Beau
6/1/16 - 11/13/23
Beau was a sweet Golden Irish who loved everyone. He would always come and greet people by leaning on them. He loved going for walks and chasing squirrels. He would get the zoomies and would want you to chase him. We love and miss our buddy so much! We will forever remember him.
Lady Bug
Lady Bug came to our home with her son, Boo Boo, as senior rescues from Greenheart Rescue four years ago. We know there were major losses in her life, and many many months in shelters.
But, when she finally came home, she planted herself firmly. Lady Bug was clear about her expectations of everyone. Her min pin sister had to help her start barking one hour before dinner every night. She told her to.
Lady Bug would welcome her min pin sisters at the door of their crate before breakfast every morning and would joyfully escort them outside.
She decided she would sleep in the bed. We didn't have a choice. But, once there, she snored like a freight train.
If we put her in a crate at bedtime, she would bark all night long. She was the boss! Speaking of barking, her unique bark was more of a "Blah!". Her joy was vocal, and uniquely hers.
Lady Bug lived her life to its fullest. She will be dearly missed. Her little eight-pound self has left a gaping hole in her family's life.
May you bring the same joy to everyone in your next life as you did in this one, Lady Bug!
Bailey
Bailey was born March 27th 2010. Bailey spent here younger years retrieving ducks and geese from the snake river. This was a true passion of hers. But she always loved to come home and be with her family ( especially her mom). Bailey was the best family dog and was always great to her younger siblings ( Cody, Avery, and Waylon). She loved to roam around the property and enjoyed hunting for gophers. Bailey will be greatly missed but we know she's in a better place.
Mojo the "Majestic" Carruthers
Born July 1, 2012
Died Oct 21, 2023
Miniature Schnauzer- Black & Silver
Mojo was our majestic, mischievous and very loved boy. We grieve for him. Taken way to soon from us. He was loved unconditionally. Mo had a wonderful, full and exciting life with us and his sister, Juju. He chased birds, saw bears, yelled at squirrels in his huge, plush yard in Alaska. He loved car rides and got to see so many places and things on our travels this past year. He was constantly on my heels and never let me even go to the bathroom without him underfoot. He ate everything, whether edible or not, and he licked floors, carpets, rugs and furniture constantly. It drove me nuts. Oh what I would give to have him here now licking the couch or trying to trip me. Mojo, we sure miss you my beautiful boy. Not sure how we will get by without you here.
To our loyal, loving and goofy Mo...go run, jump and be goofy now on the other side of that Rainbow Bridge my boy. You will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
