Anyoneon the Sunshine Coast QLD and interested in the 3D printer from February, one has turned up in the Brightwater store along with a spare set of filaments. $50 off the original price. Saw it yesterday, 14th April so ring ahead first if traveling any distance.
I got my local stores phone number a long time ago via a worker (who doesn't work there anymore). When I rang the store and asked about an item I was interested in was available or not, the answer was "How did you get this number?" in a angry tone of voice.
Bought the air rover on the day it was available. Seems like pretty sturdy and workout I had when I lifted and carried the box was not bad at all! Installation wasn't easy but not challenging either. This is my first rower so I can't comment on how good it's. It is pretty sturdy and didn't feel very different than concept 2 I tried in my local gym a number of years ago (But my knowledge and experience with rowers are very limited). I recommend using a socket set for an easier and quicker installation.
I think the one you are talking about is the one I got a while back. Quite satisfactory for my use. I find the controls a little confusing, but probably because it is in my second vehicle and is different to the one in my other car! I find the maximum audio output is not as high as could be useful, but this is in a forty year old four wheel drive that gets a bit noisy at speed. I regularly use it playing back from a thumb drive, but also for AM and FM radio. Haven't tried the sd slot.
Don't know about the aldi ones specifically, but for a single bedroom I'd get an oil column. Silent, reasonably energy efficient as far as heaters go (which you know isn't saying much), probably has a timer so you can set it to heat up just before you're going to your room and stay on for a few hours after you go to bed and your room should stay warm enough through the night (assuming it has a bit of insulation somewhere). Lower fire danger.
If you want to save money, and you tend to sit in one spot, then a halogen heater is the way to go as it heats by radiation rather than trying to heat all the air in the room, and on low uses less than 20% of a the power of a 2kw heater.
I purchased the shiatsu back massager a few days ago, returned it next day. It's not very good. Doesn't hit the right spots and the stitching was very weak. After 45 mins of use the stitching was starting to open.
Yes, it does, and no, I don't but for the sake of not a lot more money, I'd rather have the capacity incase I do find something needing high pressure or if I want to put the regulation on the tool (such as a HVLP gun w/ regulator/filter). Being borderline just seems a bit risky.
I think the point being made is that Watts are a measure of power, not energy. Energy is measured in W/h. So a heater that consumes power at a rate of 1000W that's turned on for 0.3 of an hour uses 300W/h of energy.
Some simple rules:
k for kilo is always lower case
M for mega is always upper case
Quantities such as watts and newtons named after people, are lower case for the full word but upper case for the abbreviation, such as W and N
Other quantities like metres and litres and grams are always lower case.
The tuner went on my 8 year old Changhong plasma last night, I'm not really desperate for a new one though as I normally watch TV through the attached Fetch TV box anyway, when I turn the TV on now it thinks it's a new one & I have to choose the language & scan for channels which it doesn't find any of before I can get to use the source button to get to HDMI2.
After lugging the thing upstairs twice (it rolled down the first time, just when I got it near the top, grrr) I un boxed it.
It was interesting to see it unfold as the air entered the plastic bag.
Anyway, I slept on it last night. This morning is the first time in months where my lower back wasn't aching when I got up! Even despite the effort of dragging it upstairs.
It has a slight smell but I'm hoping that subsides in the coming days. There's no firm walls around the sides but given the mode of wrapping, I'm not surprised. So just need to be careful when sitting on the edge or when getting up.
When I was replacing our mattress a couple of years ago (due to an electric blanket fire that contributed to the Aldi recall), I concluded that most mattresses are made to be wonderfully comfortable in the showroom but aren't supportive to actually sleep on and due to the cost of showroom floor space, mark-ups are large with price differences often being purely due to cosmetics and jargon rather than true benefits. We ended up with a pure latex Heveya which is wonderful but very expensive.
Regarding the smell, I've sprayed it twice with Glen 20 and let it air without sheets all day. Still has a slight odour but it is decreasing. I have a very sensitive sense of smell but it didn't affect my sleeping last night.
Aldi panel convention heater. Looks nice with the heater temperature display on the front. However, the controls on the unit for on/temp set/fan are ALL SHOW. They are just writing on a panel with no switches behind the panel no matter what the instruction manual says. You have to use the supplied remote control to control aspects of the heater.
If the power goes out, and the light was on, it stays on for upto 5 hours or until you turn it off at the switch. If the light was off and the power is lost, you can wander over and turn it on at the switch. Pretty handy for those blessed with regular outages. Only $19.95
I got one of the motion sensor bulbs. That is, just the one bulb with the sensing stuff hidden inside (physically a bit larger than a normal bulb). There were many more with the screw fitting than with the bayonet, so make sure you get the right one.
With the front door open, and with a screen security door closed, I can walk into the other end of the lounge about 7 or 8 metres away , 90 degrees from what the sensor light can "see', and it will turn on.
The packet says it has 8 m recognition distance, but I didn't think it would also see around corners. That's a nuisance as I want it to recognise someone coming to the porch from the outside of the house, not inside activity.
It's smart in that it has negative delta termination. Beyond that, such as max voltage, max time, I don't know but I doubt it. It automatically cycles NiCads and this model may have an USB port, don't know, forgot to check it out today.
I bought a few of these today. I put them out on my veranda. The one just outside my kitchen door detects motion from inside the house. I have the curtains drawn and it still detects motion when I enter the kitchen. Might work OK if I had heavier curtains...
I bought one of these last time...model 15527. No problems with it charging AA and AAA. AAA charges really quickly, less than an hour, AA around 2 hours. Even some batteries that were completely flattened it initially gave an error, but eventually rescued and charged if left in for a few minutes then removed and re-inserted.
I wrapped some black insulation tape around about half the bulb. Didn't help. Then tried a layer of aluminium foil around the bulb, for about of its length. The foil is not tight against the bulb past the centre of the bulb. That is, it's like a cylindrical skirt.
My sensor globe seems to never go out. It's in a pitch dark garden shed and once the door is closed there's nothing moving to trigger it. I tested in my laundry and it goes out after a few minutes, but never seems to go out in my garden shed.
I think you're right. If you quickly switch it off and then on it stays on permanently (similar to other sensor lights). To reset it, switch it off for at least 30 seconds (or maybe more) before switching it on again.
I bought 5 of them and within 6 months or less, 3 pf them are dead, well flickering on and off, have 2 yeft out of 5 now, i guess don't buy them from aldi is the lesson I have learnt. that equals dead to me, would have been a good idea to keep the receipt :(
Bought one last time. Rubbish. Unless the solar panel has 8hrs of direct, unclouded, unshaded light each day the battery goes flat because in PIR mode it always consumes more power than the panel generates. Lost the receipt unfortunately (and I took it apart). If a power supply was substituted for the panel the battery charged and all was good so the circuit was ok.

I had one and the battery went flat after a few weeks, opened it up and found a dry joint between the solar panel input cable and the circuit board. Fixed it up, charged the battery manually the first time, and it has been fine for 6months, even when the panel isn't really sitting in an optimal north facing position (facing north east thrown up on the garage roof).
Glad I caught your post, I went in and got one myself, went back to the car and had a bit of a play, and decided to go and get another.... great quality, and throws a good beam at night.... I spend a lot of time under houses and in roofs so this is ideal.
It is a nice torch for the price and backed by a 3 year warranty. I have quite a few AA torches from Fenix, Olight, Xtar, Nitecore and Zebralight, but this Lightway Trekking 3W torch is fine for around the house use. My others tend to be more single AA (and 14500 compatible) torches, but they were significantly more expensive.
The Aldi one is a bit heavy for me to take bushwalking, so I usually take my single AA torches instead, but seriously the Aldi one is fine for home use, and is better value that maglites or led lensers.
