Any content you are entitled to as part of your Vectric software purchase will also be recognisable by the software logo being visible in the corner of the clipart. This clipart is available to download for free from within your V&CO account.
Using the built in clipart browser included in your Vectric software you can visually see what content you own and choose the clipart you want to import into your latest project. Importing your clipart is quick and easy, simply drag your chosen clipart from the clipart browser shown at the side of the software in to the position you need it.
The 3D clipart tab itself contains two tabbed pages: Local Files and Library Browser. You can swap between these pages by clicking on the page names at the top of the tab. Note: It is possible to customize Aspire's interface by undocking and repositioning its tabs. If your Clipart tab is not visible next to the Drawing and Modeling tabs, please refer to the Overview of the Interface chapter of the Manual for details on working with Aspire's tabs. Note: For CRV files that contain components, these components will not be imported into the new session - only the vectors will be imported.
To import a file as a piece of clipart you can simply double click its thumbnail to position the clipart in the center of the job. You could also Right click on a piece of clip art and choose the Import to Level option, this has a sub-menu that allows you to choose an existing Level or to create a New Level. When creating a New Level you will be prompted to enter a name and choose a combine mode. You can also click on a preview image and 'drag and drop' its thumbnail from the clipart browser, into the 2D or 3D View. To do this:
- Move your mouse over thumbnail image in the clipart browser.
- Press and hold down the left mouse button.
- While holding down the left mouse button, move the mouse back into the 2D or 3D View.
- A copy of the thumbnail image will be 'dragged' with the mouse pointer.
- Release the mouse button to 'drop' the clipart file into the 2D or 3D View.
The selected component clipart model or vector outline will be imported at the location of the dropped thumbnail and, if appropriate, added to your model's Component Tree. Depending on the relative size of your current Aspire model and the piece of clipart you have imported, it may need to be resized to fit using the standard tools on the Drawing tab or directly using the transform handles within the 2D View.
To add a folder into your library click on the Add Folder button which opens up a dialog asking you to choose the folder you would like to add. Navigate through the tree to choose then folder and click OK. Unlike the Local Files browser the Library browser will only show the clipart that within this folder and folders within this folder. You will not be able to see the whole of the file tree beneath this folder.
Once you have populated your library with folders then clicking on a folder will populate the clipart browser with the objects which are contained in this folder and show you any subfolders immediately below it.
To remove a folder, select from the list of folders and click on the Remove Folder button. This will not delete clipart from your computer; it will just remove the library folder. Folders may be added to the library from the local file browser by right clicking and selecting the Add folder to library option.
With your copy of the software you are entitled to a selection of free clipart. This clipart can be downloaded directly from the running software. The software comes with previews of the clipart you're entitled to. In order to get the latest entitlements , click the refresh button.
The Login Dialog will then appear and you may then be prompted to log in to your V&Co account to allow the software to access your clipart. Once logged in, your previews will be refreshed. These previews are displayed with an overlay to make it clear that they are not yet downloaded.
If it is desirable to view only the clipart that is currently downloaded, then the cloud button found above the clipart preview display toggles the visibility of the online clipart. Available online clipart not shown Available online clipart shown
If the refresh button is clicked and there is no currently authenticated V&Co account available a dialog will appear showing that the user is notcurrently logged in. Clicking Log In and Refresh will launch a web browser which will take you to the V&Co login page. Once logged in and the program has been granted access to clipart the web browser may be closed. After a short while the dialog will disappear and a refresh will start in the background with the contents of the clipart browser updating once this has been completed.
If the refresh button is clicked and clipart has already been authenticated then the 'Logged In' status will be displayed on this dialog. Closing this dialog will cause a refresh to start in the background with the contents of the clipart browser updating once this has been completed.Clicking Log Out will sign you out of clipart access and stop new pieces of clipart being downloaded from the cloud until clipart has been re-authenticated.

The VCarve download includes a large variety of 2D and 3D clipart files that can be used as is, in your own projects or edited to create your own variations. The files include a mix of formats. The 2D artwork (150 items) comes in CRV format including basic shapes, game layouts, moulding profiles, stylized text and more. The 3D files are V3M format. Over 150 of the models are commercial quality pieces of 3D clipart from Design & Make. Each one of these is presented in 3 different styles, raised, dished and recessed (so actually 450+ variants), retail cost to purchase just these files would be over $2,000 if bought from the Design & Make website.
Design & Make has a library of over 2500 high-quality, CNC-ready dimensional clip art models. You will find a selection of relief-style clipart pieces, mini projects, and collections to suit every CNC project need. These can be purchased, downloaded and carved as individual models or combined to make more complex designs.
Files saved from the software include a thumbnail image. Windows explorer can make use of these thumbnails to show you a preview of each file when you browse a folder. The software also supports Windows drag and drop functionality to quickly add pieces of 2D or 3D clipart into an existing model directly from windows explorer. With windows explorer open, simply click and drag the 3D clipart thumbnail of the file you want from the explorer window into the 2D or 3D View. The selected file will be imported automatically and displayed in the software.

The Box Creator Gadget is a powerful addition to the Vcarve Pro and Aspire software. This gadget automatically creates all box sides or selected sections of the box required with angular dovetail joints as required. The joints are milled from the top of the material rather than the traditional method from the side, this top down approach allows you to use a regular end mill to create the desired joint. It is also possible to add 3D clipart from the Design and Make model libraries to decorate the surfaces as required
