I'm using virtual studio to create an augmented reality system used solely for detecting the orientation and skew of surfaces. I am new to C++ and wanted to ask if someone could provide instruction on how to implement the aruco library into visual studio.
The library relies on the use of coded markers. Each marker has an unique code indicated by the black and white colors in it. The libary detect borders, and analyzes into the rectangular regions which of them are likely to be markers. Then, a decoding is performed and if the code is valid, it is considered that the rectangle is a marker.
NOTE ON OPENGL: The library supports eaily the integration with OpenGL. In order to compile with support for OpenGL, you just have installed in your system the develop packages for GL and glut (or freeglut).
OpenGL: by default, the mingw version installed has not the glut library. So, the opengl programs are not compiled. If you want to compile with OpenGL support, you must install glut, or prefereably freeglut. Thus,
Hello everyone .I have the Nvidia Jetson TX2 and I would like to use the camera as to do aruco detection and camera pose estimation.I installed OpenCV by following this video (Jetson TX2 (DL) - Install OpenCV3 - YouTube).Aruco library is not coming.I would like to ask about how to install it and if needs something more (means camera of jetson) as to do that.I would like to mention that I have done the camera pose estimation and detection with my laptop and it works perfectly.
Thank you Wayne for your reply.I would like to say you that I installed Opencv on my own but if I check in the terminal the libraries aruco is not there.I thought that as in the pc will come automatically.I have to adjust that with a way as you mentioned also.Can you suggest me methods as to do that.?
when you enable opencv_contrib - it will build modules including , but not limited to the aruco.
However, I would rather look into sourceforge cpp aruco sources and additionally python-aruco package rather than the default opencv_contrib aruco pack.

The problem is I am neither able to import aruco module in my python code nor use it via cv2 (for ex. cv2.aruco). I am new to python and to aruco. Can anybody please explain how can I install aruco python modules or there is any other way I can use these?
When compiling OpenCV library you have to manually set up in the compile settings to compile python bindings. Just install cmake-gui and compile OpenCV using that. When you enter cmake-gui you have tab configure and there just search for Python bindings and set it to true.
Here is a result:The 'new rVec' and 'new tVec' represent the rotation and translation vector in the marker's coordinate system.In this picture everything is fine. My rotation vector is good as I am currently holding my phone at a >90 degree angle (1.57 rad) on X and the translation vector matches the distances.I can also see by using the drawAxis method provided in the ArUco library that the marker is detected correctly, so I expected the results to be good.
Before opentrack-git you must install aruco from and create a package. After that you can create the opentrack from There's 2 thinks to correct. 1) go to folder tracker-aruco and run uic aruco-trackercontrols.ui > aruco-trackercontrols.h, after that open file ftnoir_tracker_aruco.h and search for trackercontrols.h and correct to #include "aruco-trackercontrols.h" then you are ready to make the package. If that doesn't work, then try with cmake -DSDK_ARUCO_LIBPATH="aruco/src/libaruco.a" .. (use absolute path for libaruco.a).
After that can't help with setup because I personal use UDP with EDTracker as my notebook camera is slow (30fps) and don't wont my camera to be open all time, but if I remember correctly for best calibration I used ./aruco_calibration live CamCalibration.yml with a A4 from with good results.
The libaruco.a I needed resides in "src/aruco/src/src/". I copied its path and modified the PKGBUILD from AUR for opentrack-git to link to it Aruco library (-DSDK_ARUCO_LIBPATH=...). Nothing else, including linking to an installed libaruco.a in /opt/aruco would work. I also removed the EVDEV flag as it seems to be deprecated and added the "-DSDK_WINE=ON" flag.
I am using Visual studio 2017 to build and compile the project. To do this i am currently using the scripts from Github opencv_contribute which contains calibrate camera.cpp , aruco.cpp and detect and create markers.cpp. However i keep getting this lnk 2019 but i am not sure what the error is.
I generated a Charuco board of 5x7 squares from a DICT_6x6_250 dictionary, printed the board and took 10 images with my webcam. Now I used the standard procedure of detecting markers (detectMarkers, refineDetectedMarkers, interpolateCornersCharuco) and calibrating the camera (calibrateCameraCharuco). Finally I generated an image with Charuco corners and axes drawn on it using the calibration. With OpenCV version 4.2.0 I got the result on the left. Using the SAME program with OpenCV 4.6.0, I got the result on the right!

If you have not already done it, create a new package called ev3.exercises.library. Library is just a name we selected, you could call the package utilities or tools or whatever makes sense to you as a place to organize support classes. In that package create a class called TouchSensor and copy/paste this code into it:
So you can see we just create an instance of the TouchSensor class and make use of it. The DriveCircle2 class is simpler and if we update the TouchSensor class, DriveCircle2 will not have to be changed in terms of the details of how Touch Sensors are handled, but it will need to be recompiled to incorporate the updated library class.
