of Korea and Russia are alternately holding the Korea-Russian Fisheries Commission on an annual basis
to consult on permit fishing on restricted waters by allocating fishing quota. The Korean government, in
addition, is making every effort to improve fishing conditions, including quotas, number of fishing vessels
allowed and fishing grounds, to sustain sound fishing operations of Korean fishing vessels in Russian
waters.
ｏ Korea is also making great endeavors to establish transparent cooperative relations with Russia on
fishery and to prevent illegal trade of Russian fishery products through measures such as promoting the
settlement of the fishery agreement with the Russian government.
