Subject: [QUEERING] zaujimavy call z talianska: gender and queer studies - call for papers

Ahojte,

Ked dostanem odpoved, info preposlem.

Co je dolezite: esamizdat MA ZAUJEM AJ O UZ PUBLIKOVANE TEXTY.

Verim, ze by to niektore a niektorych z vas mohlo zaujat,
majte sa fajn
lubakoba

Dear Luba Kobova,

your address was given me by Jana Juranova. My name is Alessandro
Amenta, I work at the Department of Slavonic Literatures at the
University of Rome. I'm preparing a monographic issue of our journal
"eSamizdat" of Slavonic Studies (www.esamizdat.it) about Gender and
Queer studies in Eastern Europe. I would like to inquire about the
possibility of establishing contact with specialists in this area who
would be interested in submitting their texts for publication. This
monographic issue will be published in December 2008. Please find
attached Call for Papers (the deadline has been deferred). Could you be
interested in writing or submitting an already published text about
gender/queer in Slovakia? It can concern any aspect you consider
relevant to the matter, from theoretical aspects (the development of
these studies in your country) to literature, media and society.

Thank you very much and I look forward to hearing from you.

With kind regards,
Alessandro Amenta

Dear Paula,

thank you for your reply. First of all I would like to say that the
deadline for submitting abstracts has been deferred to the end of March,
and the deadline for submitting papers has been deferred to the end of
June. It is not necessary to submit abstracts if you already have
written papers. Your proposals are really interesting. Please send me
both to decide which one to be published. We accept papers in any
slavonic language, in english and italian. The affiliation to academic
institution is absolutly not necessary, the only thing that counts is
the quality of the text and the originality of the research. The lenght
of the papers should be between 10 and 20 pages (included footnotes and
bibliography).

Regards
Alessandro
