"Endorphins are neurotransmitters produced in the brain which regulate
our feelings of happiness," says Dr. Curtis E. Turne, neurological
director of the Contra Dance Research Institute (CDRI). "They have
also been known to induce euphoria."

"My colleagues and I have been studying Queer Contra Dance Camp for
the last four years and have concluded that attendees experience
record levels of endorphins that are wildly off the charts and reach a
state which we have termed 'euphoric blisstopia.'"
