2) The Art of Yoga: Yoga at the KW Art Gallery with Meaghan
Our first run of this workshop was so successful, the gallery is hosting this again! Please join us for an embodied experience of art. Here is a comment from the last one: "Meaghan's workshop changed how I typically respond to art. This experience was entirely new. Before we went into the gallery, Meaghan skillfully led us through a series of poses and exercises that brought us more solidly into our bodies and out of the usual thought processes of the mind. I practise and teach yoga so I was not unfamiliar with the calmness and clarity that I experienced in her class. What I wasn't prepared for was how I experienced the art afterwards. Barefoot, we padded through the gallery in silence. It was as though my mind was relaxed enough to not get involved and instead my body had a chance to respond. My feet felt the cool smoothness of the floor, my heart broke, my hair stood on end, my eyes watered, my mouth grinned, my shoulders tightened and then relaxed. My feelings ran from irritation to delight to grief to joy within moments. I think I ended up loving what I saw merely because I was able to be more present, more embodied, with it. At another time my mind would have made conclusions and interrupted the process. I drove home that night completely satisfied. I remember the moon being brighter than I've ever seen it."
3) Intro to Meditation
What better time of year to learn how to sit in Meditation? Winter is coming and as the urge to stay indoors and keep warm grows, the wintry months ahead are a perfect time to learn to go inwards and reflect. As well, you may want to learn these techniques to manage stress through the holiday season!
Here are November's Meditation Courses:
Just added: BodyMind Meditation with Nancy, Mondays 3-4pm, November 1st-January 3rd (no class Dec 27th)

Brad has been teaching Yoga at this youth detention centre through New Leaf Yoga since September. Please join him and and receive the gift of yoga for yourself while offering a financial donation to these kids going through a tough period in their life.
You must register for this class and reserve your space with a minimum donation of $10. Anything you would like to donate above and beyond that would be greatly appreciated (the usual cost for this workshop is $25). 100% of the money given will go buying personal items that the kids are in need of.
Cool Stuff for the New Year! I am so excited about these two events I wanted to tell you now!
8) Joy of Singing Classes with Jane from All Together Now!
This class will be on on Thursdays at 6pm, start date and cost will be in the December Newsletter. Singing can lift your spirits, reduce stress, build confidence, and strengthen your immune system. It's good medicine, and good fun. For six weeks, we will meet and join our voices in sound and song. Each night, a vocal tip or new exercise will be introduced. Over the course of the workshop, we'll work on a repertoire of songs, learning melodies and harmony parts. Most importantly, we'll share in the heart-warming experience of singing together. No experience necessary.
9) The Power of Movement
QSY and Moksha Yoga Waterloo will join forces to teach for The Power of Movement: a yoga event to raise funds and awareness for arthritis and autoimmune disorders.
Meaghan and Ashley will be co-teaching a yoga class on Sunday February 27th. Join our team, raise some funds and come have a blast doing yoga with a huge group of people for a good cause!
