1) Spring Clutter Clearing Workshop with Cecilia
Cecilia Moorcroft has made a big difference in my own life: as my apartment has become less cluttered, so has my mind, my work, my life! Keeping my space clear seems like a natural extension of my yoga and mediation practice. I am excited to bring her to share her expertise, helpful tips, and compassionate humour with the QSY community. To see all the details for this workshop, please visit http://ceciliakitchener.eventbrite.com/ To read more about Cecilia, check out her great blog: http://www.spaceforlife.ca

2) Yoga at the Gallery: Embodying our Experience of Art
So excited to do this again! Please join me! We will begin with stretching, releasing stress and building the capacity to be present in our physical body. Once in a state of embodied awareness participants will explore the exhibitions through a self-guided walk. The morning will conclude with a sharing of experiences.

Set in the gorgeous Clay and Glass Gallery, we will experience Julie Oakes show entitled "Swounds." At the heart of the exhibition is a flock of over 100 glass sparrows suspended from the gallery ceiling. No experience is necessary. Mats and props will be provided. Bring your own mat if you have one and a firm blanket.

Saturday April 16th, 10am-12pm: Cost: $25 plus HST
Register through the Clay and Glass Gallery: 519-746-1882 or in...@canadianclayandglass.ca
25 Caroline Street North, Waterloo

3) Contemporary Dance Class for Adults
Focusing on contemporary dance technique, we will move with flair, skip with grace, and jump with style. Build your body's capacity to move consciously and dynamically. In this class we sweat, laugh, take risks and have fun. No dance experience required.

Wednesdays: contemporary dance techniques 1-2pm; choreography workshop (for more experienced students) 2-2:30pm; Apr 6th to May 11th
Cost: $72 for techniques class; donations accepted for workshop time.

4) Community Yoga Class: Donations to Otesha
This month’s Community Class donations will go to Otesha. Check them out! http://www.otesha.ca/bike+tours/

5) Compassionate Living, Meditations of the Heart with Nancy
This new course has filled with a wait list so we are going to offer it again in May! So if you are interested in this class, please let us know sooner than later! This class will include an introduction and review of bodymind centring and mindfulness. We will explore themes of self compassion and forgiveness, and practices to open our hearts to ourselves and others

Cost: $96

9) A Note from Meaghan
I am going to be taking an extended break from teaching starting at the end of April. After 9 amazing years of teaching, and 5.5 years of running Queen Street Yoga, it is time for me to travel and reflect, and get creative. The plan so far is a month walking the Camino in Portugal and Spain, and then a kayaking trip along the north Channel in northern Ontario. Beyond that, continue to run the studio, support the awesome QSY staff, and teach the occasional workshop and retreat.

Not to fear, the Yoga, Meditation, Singing, Dance, and everything that makes up the QSY community will continue to thrive. Because, quite frankly, it thrives because of all of you, and your commitment to your practice of yoga and of living. I am continuously moved by the community we have all created together, and am excited to continue to foster and facilitate it’s growth.
