4) Yoga and the 5 Elements with Brad 6 weeks, Thursdays 7:30-9:00pm, $95, May 14th-June 18th This work, inspired by various sources which include the 5 elements of Chinese gong fu, Donna Farhi's methodology and of course Brad's teacher and mentor Hart Lazar. In this 6 week experience, we will explore a set sequence of postures. First learning the attributes of each element, and second, how to infuse our bodies with their properties and utilize them. This creates a practice experience that is quite exciting and unique. Watch as your experience in the postures shifts and the elements coalesce to bring expansiveness (Air), structure and stability (Earth), fluidity (Water), fire (Clarity and Heat) and finally the mysterious void. What is void you ask? You'll have to sign up to find out. Open to Level 1 students with at least 3 months experience.
