1) New Intro To Yoga Classes
Please help us spread the word by passing this information on. Our Intro classes teach the basics of Yoga, making it safe and enjoyable for everyone, and setting a strong foundation for progressing into higher levels of practice.

Thursdays 4:30pm with Meaghan: Feb 3rd - March 24th
Sundays 11:45am with Kymberley: Feb 6th - March 27th
Thursdays 7:45pm with Emma: Feb 17th - April 7th

8 weeks, $108.

2) Book Club
Our first book club was really fun, insightful and heart warming. I am really looking forward to the next one. Mandy is a great facilitator and really brought out great comments from the group. Even if you only get through one chapter of the book, the meeting will still prove to be a fun way to connect with others and learn more about yourself.

February’s book is How to be an Adult in Relationships by David Richo. You can purchase it at the studio or Words Worth Books. Read more about the book here: http://www.shambhala.com/html/catalog/items/isbn/978-1-57062-812-2.cfm

Dates: Feb 24th and March 31st, at 7:30pm
Cost: By donation. Please email us to let us know you are coming.

3) Home Practice 2 Part Workshop with Meaghan
If you are trying to practice at home but finding it difficult then this is the workshop for you. This workshop will be helpful for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. In this new 2 part format, we will sort through our obstacles and develop a practice plan in the first workshop and in the second workshop we will bring up questions and refine our practice based on our week's experience.

Thursdays 7:45-9:15pm Feb 3rd and 10th: $45

4) Partner Yoga with Lindsay
Yes, that’s right! Lindsay will be joining us for the afternoon on February 13th to lead you and a friend, family member or sweetheart through the playful and fun experience of partner yoga. No yoga experience is required for this workshop. Just a willingness to stretch, laugh and connect. Please register in advance with payment.

Sunday February 13th, 2-4pm
$45 for two people (includes the HST)

5) Contemporary Dance Classes with Kymberley
YAY! This class is so much fun. No experience with dance is required for this class. We will warm up with body centred exercises from dance and yoga. We will move with music learning contemporary dance inspired exercises. Think walking with flair, skipping with grace, jumping with style. Some choreographed sequences will also be explored as we build the bodies’ capacity to move consciously and dynamically. In this class we sweat, laugh, take risks and have fun. Kymberley is a sensitive teacher who brings joy and openness to her class. She meets you where you are and inspires you to move to new places.

Wednesdays 1-2pm, 6 weeks, Feb 16th - Mar 23rd
$72 for all 6 weeks or $15 to drop in for a class

6) Workshop with Meaghan in Montreal
I am super excited to be teaching a one day retreat at my dad’s church just outside of Montreal on the west island on Saturday March 19th. This is a day of embodied awareness, gentle yoga and meditation. If you know of anyone in the Montreal area that you think would benefit from this day, please send them this link: http://www.stillpresence.com/index_files/Page359.htm It is under the January 2011 Update.

That is all the news for February. I hope you stay warm and limber through the last half of winter!

Yours,
Meaghan and the QSY crew
