4. Eliya Eizerikova: Israel Fellow in Kingston!!!

Queen's Hillel: the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life in Kingston, Ontario is thrilled to announce that we are hosting a Jewish Agency Israel Fellow for the 2012-2013 academic year. Eliya Eizerikova, born in Russia, comes to us from her home in Tel Aviv, Israel. With extensive experience in various Jewish leadership positions and a sophisticated background in film and television, Eliya will work with Queen's Hillel and Israel on Campus (IOC) to engage students in Jewish life and to educate the broader Queen's community about Israel and Israeli culture.

With a growing number of Jewish students choosing Queen's each year, Queen's Hillel strives to provide more diverse and exciting ways to reach out to our dynamic community. We are excited to have a Jewish Agency Israel Fellow join our team, and so we extend our warmest welcome to Eliya as she settles into Kingston. We hope this new relationship will greatly benefit the Jewish community in Kingston as well as the entire Queen's campus. Stop by at any of our events and make sure to introduce yourself!

5. CJPAC Fellowship Applications

CJPAC (the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee) is a unique national, independent grassroots organization whose mandate is to activate the Jewish community in the political process to advance relationships with members of the Canadian political community and foster Jewish and pro-Israel political leadership. CJPAC mobilizes the grassroots across the country, builds relationships with elected officials of all political parties, and works for Jewish community interests on a multi-parisan basis, during and between elections.

Each year, CJPAC runs a Fellowship program for politically interested and active students on campus. This opportunity allows politically engaged and active students to further their role in Canadian politics. CJPAC fellows have unique opportunities to meet with Members of Parliament, senior political strategists, communication experts, and some of Canada's most engaged activists during a conference in Ottawa and other conference calls throughout the year. Fellows are trained to be effective political campaigners and network with people from various parts of the political world. These skills are applicable to on-campus activities as well as in their post-graudate lives.

Please find the application attached. The application due date has been extended to Friday, September 21st, 2012 and more information can be found in the document attached.
