Hey everyone! Queen's Hillel here, hoping everyone's had a great week and hanging in there with last few weeks of classes! Here's what we have coming up this week!

1. TZEDEK NIGHT
Start your weekend off classy with A BLACK TIE AFFAIR. On Thursday, Nov. 24th, join us at Alfies, the hottest spot on campus, to dance, drink, RAGE and have the best time as we hit the dance floor hard with all of our best Moves like Jagger. Get dressed up and rage for a good cause, since ALL OF THE PROFITS WILL BE DONATED TO QUEEN'S FREE THE CHILDREN.
Tickets are only $10 and get you both entrance and a drink ticket to get you started. Tickets will be sold in the QUEEN'S CENTRE from Nov. 21-24th from 12pm-4pm. This event is 19+ and the dress code is cocktail attire. All profits go to Queen's Free the Children.
$14 BOTTLES of wine, $6 dbls and $4 bar rail all night long! Bring your friends, dress up and #rageforacause
Free the Children is a not-for-profit organization that helps children in developing countries. Whether this means building schools, providing access to clean drinking water or food, medical care and sanitation, Free The Children makes sure that these children can grow up to be the leaders of tomorrow. The money we raise will be used to help build a school in Kenya.
2. LAST SHABBAT DINNER OF THE SEMESTER - Fri. Nov 25th
Need one more taste of those mouthwatering meatballs and breathtakingly delicious brownies before you go home for winter break? How about that home cooked chicken, potatoes and veggies? LOOK NO FURTHER!
Don't miss Hillel's LAST SHABBAT DINNER of the semester, this Friday November 25th at 7pm at the Hillel House!
Dinners are FREE for members, and only $10 for non-members! Memberships can be purchased at the event for $35 for the year which include 5 FREE Shabbat Dinners as well as discounted entrance to other Hillel events (or $20 for one semester).
If you don't feel comfortable paying on Shabbat just email me at alexand...@gmail.com and we can arrange a time to pay before hand.
3. BEWIC MACCABEES
Interested in playing on Hillel's BEWIC team this year? (I know you all are!)
What is BEWIC, you may ask? BEWIC is a two-day long event where Queen's teams compete in 4 co-ed sports (volleyball, rugby-basketball, floor hockey and innertube water polo) taking place on place on January 20th to 21st 2012 and Hillel is once again making a team! The participation fee is $20, which gets you a wristband to participate in each event, a BEWIC T-shirt, AND FREE ALL YOU CAN EAT SUBWAY SANDWICHES at the final banquet.
That being said, WE STILL HAVE SPOTS OPEN! If you are interested, please contact Jonathan Kwinta at jkw...@gmail.com with your name and student number.
4. WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE AN EXAM ON A SATURDAY
Do you have an exam on a Saturday this year and don't feel comfortable writing on Shabbat? NOT TO WORRY! Here's what you do:
- Start by talking to your prof. Most professors are very accommodating for religious observances and will help you out and negotiate a new date with you.
- You can also make arrangements with the exam office in Gordon Hall to write the exam at a different time. Individual arrangements are made on a student-by-student basis, so it's imperative that you notify the exam office as soon as you are aware of the conflict.
