------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. BAGEL BRUNCH STUDY BREAK - Sunday 1-2pm, MacCorry

Are you hungry at the library? Annoyed that a 1hr tim horton's line stands between you and your lunch? Did you just realize that 3/4s of the food spots on campus close down on sundays, EVEN IN EXAM TIME!?! Is your Jewish mother currently concerned about your eating habbits?

If so, come to Hillel's Study-Break Bagel Brunch! We've got bagels, cream cheese, lox, butter, fruit, juice and COFFEE. and it's FREE for all Hillel members!

Hope to see you there! Happy Studying!

2. KJC's LIGHT UP THE NIGHT - Tues. Dec 20, 5:30-7:30pm

The KJC will have the annual Chanukah celebration on Tuesday December 20 at Springer Market Square, 5:30-7:30pm. If you're still in Kingston and would like to go, see the attached poster for info!

  1. 3. HILLEL HANUKKAH CANDLE LIGHTING - Tues. Dec. 20th, 5-6pm

Do you have an exam on the LAST POSSIBLE DAY? Are you jealous of all your friends who finish exams early and get to go home and light the menorah??

NEVER FEAR! Hillel will be hosting a candle lighting for the first night of Hanukka! Take a break from studying and come light the chanukia with all your friends still left in Kingston!

(The KJC is having an event the same night, so if you can't make it there, come celebrate with Hillel!)

4. BEWIC

Interested in playing on Hillel's BEWIC team this year? (I know you all are!)

What is BEWIC, you may ask? BEWIC is a two-day long event where Queen's teams compete in 4 co-ed sports (volleyball, rugby-basketball, floor hockey and innertube water polo) taking place on place on January 20th to 21st 2012 and Hillel is once again making a team! The participation fee is $20, which gets you a wristband to participate in each event, a BEWIC T-shirt, AND FREE ALL YOU CAN EAT SUBWAY SANDWICHES at the final banquet.

That being said, WE STILL HAVE SPOTS OPEN! If you are interested, please contact Jonathan Kwinta at jkw...@gmail.com with your name and student number.

4. WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE AN EXAM ON A SATURDAY

Do you have an exam on a Saturday this year and don't feel comfortable writing on Shabbat? NOT TO WORRY! Here's what you do:

  • Start by talking to your prof. Most professors are very accommodating for religious observances and will help you out and negotiate a new date with you.
  • You can also make arrangements with the exam office in Gordon Hall to write the exam at a different time. Individual arrangements are made on a student-by-student basis, so it's imperative that you notify the exam office as soon as you are aware of the conflict.

QUEEN'S HILLEL WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE LUCK ON THEIR EXAMS!

HAPPY STUDYING!
