The 2024 Cleves Time Trial Season is officially underway!  As you know, it is the longest continuously running Time Trial event in the country.  This will be our 51st year!

The first race of the year is typically not well attended.  That was not the case on Tuesday as 13 riders showed up at the start line (despite the weatherman predicting rain!).  In fact, the weather conditions were some of the very best for racing.  Of course, this bodes WELL for a strong 2024 season!  The field included no less than five first time Cleves competitors.  A big welcome to:

     Cameron James
     Nathan Kucera
     David Laytart
     Ben Peacock
     Brooklyn Raddin

Ben, who proudly hails from Scotland, made the trip from Columbus to challenge himself on our course.  Brooklyn, a junior racer, used this event as preparation for the Nationals.  We wish her the very BEST!

Remember!  It is no longer necessary to sign up in advance to race at Cleves.  The only requirement is that you be a current (2024) Queen City Wheels member.  You can join or renew your membership on BikeReg.

Thanks to Ginny Lenahan for assisting at the Start/Finish on Tuesday!  If any others are available to volunteer during the season, just let us know.  It would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, I would like to mention that it is our intention to publish weekly results within 48 hours.  In the meantime, should you have any general questions about the event, please feel free to contact me directly at:

Note that Booklyn's time 24:59 is the 4th fastest all-time for women and the new under 20 record.
