Good afternoon, everyone!
Kings CX is just around the corner, and we're beginning to pull together all of the pieces that make race weekend possible. We have two important volunteer needs, and if you're able to help with either one, we'd love to hear from you.
Host HousingEach year, several of our out-of-town athletes rely on local families for a place to stay during race weekend. Hosting typically means providing a bed, access to a shower, and a place where riders can prepare meals, wash bikes, and relax between races. It's a great way to support the sport and get to know athletes from around the country (and sometimes around the world!).
If your family is interested in hosting an athlete for the weekend of October 17–18, please let me know.
First Aid VolunteersWe're also looking for volunteers with first aid or medical training to help throughout race weekend. This could include EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physicians, athletic trainers, or anyone with appropriate first aid certification.
While we hope for an injury-free weekend, having qualified volunteers on-site helps us provide a safe environment for our riders and spectators.
If you're available to help in this role, please reach out and let me know your qualifications and availability.
Know someone who might be interested? Please feel free to forward this email.
If you have any questions about either opportunity, feel free to ask. Thank you for helping make Kings CX one of the best race weekends in the country!
