Deefield XCP Tire Choices

Here are the top 3 tires used on the vairous Deerfield XCP trail network configurations.  The surfaces we ride on are a mixture of pavement and occasional gravel and thus full-slick tires are not recommended.

The fastest and lightest is the Continental Speed King Race Sport.  Originally created for XC racing, the Speed King is now marketed for Pump Track and Dirt Jump applications.

The second most popular is the Continent Double Fighter followed by the Schawble Billy Bonkers.  I switch to the Billy Bonkers during the wet season when mud slides cover certain sections of the course.

There are many more semi-slick tires on the market to choose from.  The Gravel racing discipline of Velo Sport is continuously producing new tread patterns and compounds, most of which are well suited for Deerfield XCP.
